hey..whos heard so far.....

If you've heard please post if you were accepted or not and what your stats were as well as major if you declared one.

Well I've heard from PSU-Erie, which was my first choice and I'm in Georgia.

Rank: 2 of 167
SAT: 660M 600CR 720W
Lots of community service

Alot of musical recognition
Student Council President

I was accepted to UP.
GPA: 3.6UW, 4.3W
ACT: 34
Major: Electrical Engineering

chocolateluvr...what were your SAT scores

My SAT scores were:
790M, 640 V= 1430
and a 680 W so 3-score is 2110, but they don't look at writing.

However, since the ACTs are higher (34=1520), they looked at that instead of SATs.

Accepted to UP (Major: English)

Out-of-state, immediate legacy (that helped probably)

GPA: 5.0 out of 6.0 (Weighted...my counselor converted to unweighted; no clue what it is there.)

Is it hard to get into communications school?

Hey hopefulnj and yankeegirl - when did you and your d send in your applications?

end of October

my friend heard back this weekend and she got in to penn state at university park. she had a 3.7 gpa and something like a 1600 on the new sats.

i'm starting to feel a little bit better. someone from my school had an 1140 (old) and 3.7 gpa, the same exact numbers as mine, and got into fall semester at UP. i applied for summer session, so i hope i get in.

Argh - I haven't been able to check my status on the website - it lets me log in and then says "no data found." So I e-mail through the website to ask why. An admissions counselor e-mailed me back and said that they had two files for me - one was in my given name - and one was in my nickname - but that they have now been combined and they will be put into the pile for review. So I guess I went back in line as of November 11.

I applied online in late September and in October, about 10 days after I knew my guidance counselor at school had sent my transcript, I got a letter that said they had everything but my transcripts. I called then and they told me that had received the transcripts. Don't know how it would up in two "incomplete" files - but hopefully I'm back on track.

PSU2010 - if you don't hear soon you may want to call and check on your stuff! GGT

thanks..i think i might do that soon.

embl514, did your friend have any e/c's or anything notable about her application? Is she in-state?
