in-state
3.75 gpa unweighted
4.15 gpa weighted
SAT: 550 math, 520 reading
i know it's low, but i'm hoping the gpa will make up for it.
lots of ECs, honors classes and all that jazz

In.

10 char

most likely in, but apply as early as possible for your best chances

will do. my guidance counselor returns in a few days so i'll get him to send my transcript asap

I would try to retake the SAT's. Remember that next year will be the largest applying class in history and the competition is getting tough. The STATS that we were given last week while visiting the college was an average of 1740-1980 for all 3 parts.

yup thats what i was afraid of. i was checking the stats for the middle 50% and my SATs are below that too. but then again there are still thousands of kids below that too since the school is so massive. i'll probably retake it though. thanks

Is your weighted GPA going to show on your transcript? Your SAT's are similar to mine.

yeah it shows my weighted gpa. it also shows that im in the top 12% of my class if that helps.

Did you apply yet? You should hear back in a month or two. You should be in.

they have everything except my transcript. i'll take care of that part in a few days or during the first week of school. hopefully thats early enough

why is next year the largest applying class ever in history? is it just for penn state or for the entire country?

Your GPA is higher than mine, but my SAT scores are higher than yours, and people have told me that I have a decent shot if applying early. Like people have said, apply early, and then update your SAT score if possible. Good luck. :)

PSP: the applying class naturally grows every year across the country, but I would imagine that PSU, being such a popular school, grows just as much or more than the standard rate.
