Hey

It can't possibly be serious. She lost my attention at the word "Mah".

It seems that Cornell will have a difficult time settling for someone with so many personality short comings. And since I live in upstate New York, I would much rather someone like IvyWhaTeVerTheHelLhErNamEis stay and pollute her own home town at a community college. The only reason why Cornell's acceptance rate is "high" is because of its huge size. But if you look at the individual acceptance rates in the schools under the University's umbrella, you will find very low acceptance rates (ie, 11% for the Arts and Sciences)

I am not applying to Cornell, but I hope that all of you in this forum get accepted at your first choice, except for IvY'sPrObAblYwIlLrEjEcTmE.

And to you, IvYWASKDhsKJDGLj, God bless you and all of your future children. We can only hope that your offspring will make up for all of your short comings.

That was amazing, cupofjoeplease21. Best of luck to you too! It's too bad that a down-to-earth person like yourself won't be joining us at Cornell.

Yeah, nice post, cup.

Good luck to you, too.

This thread smells like arrogance... yuck!

i think u have a good chance. u do sound a little arrogant so i would say u belong at yale where everyone is arrogant =P

This HAS to be a joke

She lost mine when I read her name. The fact that she called "Who's Who" prestigious also dropped her credibility rating a good 50 points in my book.

of course she isn't serious...

Nobody on the face of this earth is that stupid.

why am I seeing this exact same post in 3 different places?

Your sn...hurts my eyes.

This whole thread is hillarious!

sounds to me like SUMBODY thinks they are a god on earth, sheesh, way to be modest. something is seriously wrong there eh. i feel bad to in a way.

::cough::
You're Republican.
Don't come to Ithaca. Please.
In fact, you better just stay away from Tompkins County all together.
They'll eat you alive.

Granted, you can be Republican and still have friends at Cornell (they're definitely the minority, but whatever, you'll find that out to be true at most college campuses). However, you can't be a huge stuck up pinhead snob and expect to have friends anywhere, ever. I'm a hopeful transfer at another school. We have a girl here who's very similar to you. She's extremely, extremely lonely.

I realize you don't care. But is showboating really worth having people avoid and laugh at you?

i thought Cornell was mostly Republican... Democratic? oh glee

noooo...Ithaca is one of the most liberal towns in the entire USA.

Cornell, as a university, is more conservative than say, Brown, but is still predominately liberal.

btw if you haven't realized, this entire thread is a complete joke...

Let's just ignore it. We don't need another 17 page flame war demonstrating this person's ignorance/sense of humor. Everyone here knows how wonderful Cornell is.

Imagine what her essays are gonna look like.

LOL Fish- are you referring to the thread in the Search and Selection forum?

Oh boy, was that a fun one. Everyone should go check it out, if not just for the laughs. :p

LOL Hotelie, i love the "i lost interest after 'Mah'"...and cupofjoe, I was JUST about to say that the reason for the selectivity is sheer size...but yeah wow. This thread was incredibly negative and I can't decide whether to be appalled or amused...i think that the main lesson we've all learned out of this is not to make User IDs longer than the word antidisestablishmentasjf;aoijrtg;oairj, with alternating capitals and lowercase letters.

But if this girl is serious...she is still not nearly as bad as a little thing I like to call Super Azn. Anybody from the ED Penn crowd? Man oh man...that kid was MESSED. "FIFTY TWO KIDS FROM MY SCHOOL GOT INTO PENN LAST YEAR! THEREFORE, SO WILL I, ALTHOUGH I HAVE A 1080 SAT AND AM BARELY LITERATE!"

I am planning to apply to Cornell next year (as my safety)
Cornell is nobody's safety. And their CAS acceptance rate is dropping to 15-20% this year. So much for your lock. Cornell knows students like yourself aim for schools like Harvard and Princeton. Unless you prove Cornell a high choice for you, you will be rejected.

Even someone with a 1460 was accepted.
Harvard's middle 50th on SAT I is below 1400-1590 (the sum of middle 50th math and verbal scores). So much for a mere 1460 being too low for intelligent people.

I am by no means "dissing" Cornell
No way, calling Cornell not up to Ivy-standards isn't dissing it...not to mention its illogical for Cornell, an Ivy itself, not to be up to ivy standards.

That said, you're almost as bad as TexasMathWhiz. You'd win the prize if you were actually real. In the unbelievable case you are real, you're mad scary.
