So I know I posted earlier about three colleges, but I was just wondering what my chances were for my full list. If you could just label the schools as Safety/Match/Reach that would be great. Also, "Low Match" and "High Match" would be appreciated. Here are my stats:

Class: Junior
Eth: Caucasian
Gender: Male

These are my academic Stats:
AP Classes: Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Statistics, US History, Literature and Comp, and Physics B
(I'm taking AP Chem outside of school at MIT, my school has a 3 AP limit).
GPA: 3.6 unweighted, 4.0+ weighted
SATs: I am taking them again, but in case they don't improve, my first time scores were:
CR: 690
M: 700
W: 750
Total: 2140
SAT 2s: none taken, planning on taking: Bio, Math 2, US History, and Spanish
No AP exam scores yet, haven't taken them. Hoping for 4/5s on all.
I took a summer class in Precalculus to skip it and go straight to AP Calc.

Extracurriculars:
Captain Tennis Team
Captain Math Team
Captain Academic Decathalon, A student on team
Volunteer at Hospital for Summer of Junior Year (hasn't happened yet, but I'm signed up).
National Honor Society
Peer Minister at Church
Spanish Honor Society (running for office, but I don't have any titles yet).

College List:

I don’t know if you have ever heard of Tufts-itis. Predicting whether or not tufts will admit you is pretty hard to tell, it depends on how good tufts thinks it happens to be that year. When it comes down to it, tufts is a completely over-rated school. They maybe have a few good programs and their grad school isn’t that good. They will reject people who they think won’t attend to artificially inflate their acceptance rate. Their admission process is pretty much a mescaline trip in a haunted house, so it is hard to say what will happen. I certainly wouldn’t cut tufts out, especially if you live in MA. If you live in MA or maybe NE then you are definitely a match (the northeast advantage can never be overestimated).

With the exception of American, I would go to any of the other schools on your list in a heartbeat over tufts. Although, ultimatly it is up to you.

Living in MA always improves your chances. The northeast application advantage is well known. MA has the best public schools in the country not to mention it has tons of elite private schools that are ivy feeders.

There is a public school in MA that a couple years back had 60 people get into UMich (yes 60), and thier graduating class wasn’t even that big. I know a guy who went there.

Yeah I know what you mean. My school is parochial, and not too excellent, but my friend goes to an elite school whose top four colleges that its students attened are Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Princeton. I, on the other hand, do not have such an elite school.

So, anyone else? And just a quick question, are any of these schools so out of reach that I shouldn’t bother? Also, any ideas of good schools that I could get into/have a good chance at getting into with my stats? If you could let me know that would be awesome.

hows that being obnoxious??? Your list seems realistic to me. a couple of safeties (BU and Tufts), some matches (NYU, USC) and some stretches (Brown etc.). your ok. and to the guy who mentioned tufts syndrome, dont you mean acceptance rate deflation (trying to lower it)?. That is definitely true. I guess tufts is overrated.

Okay I’m being bombarded with stuff about Tufts. Some people said Tufts is a match, some said reach, some said low reach, one said high reach, and now safety!!! Okay so I know that opinions differ…but thats from one end of the spectrum to the next.
