The Red, the red, the big red package..the end of the waitng season..
Greetings from China to all. Really excited!
I have just received the case of Cornell, and am very happy to be accepted with full finaid. then, it's not that satisfying. I am facing Yale's waitlisted, and also Duke's.Besides, I can go to the definitely best program in the best University in China.
Is cornell far away from the HYP?
Are there anyone great graduated from Cornell?
Are the guys graduated from Cornell able to get the high-level start after graduation? Socially and academically?
Is the network really strong, and are the alumni playing important roles, and functioning in the society?
I would like to pursue further study at Eco, esp. Finance, and want to get more experience and interaction, as well as general education with a good balance between liberal art, Math(science) amd computer science.I know there's no core curriculum here.
Hm, in addition, Is there really the chance for horsing? just from curiosity..:)
Thank you.

Go to this link for all of the "great" Cornellians:

This board is a little twisted, in that some users nitpick schools to death. Most of the public think of Cornell, HYP, Stanford and MIT are just about the same.....you don't have to worry about prestige/perceptions at that level :) Yale is great for liberal arts, but for science/engineering, you'd want to go to cornell....my 2cents

it almost looks like you wrote that through a translating program or something!

and i'm sorry but it looks like you only applied for prestige, considering you think getting accepted with full finaid is "not that satisfying" and you are asking a lot of basic questions like where the heckles is cornell and is it far away from HYP...

heh, you'll find that azns are some of the biggest prestige whores in existence. of course, this does not apply to every azn, but a good number of them.

btw, i'm not biased--im chinese.

Hm, I've made the decision to spend the next four years in this lovely place.Sorry for the ugly English.Ah, it's from me.But if you want to learn Chinese, I will be really happy to give you more encouragement instead.:) Forgive me.After posting it, I really find it full of mistakes.
I asked those questions just because I do know and be attacted by the big, beautiful campus and the friendly people, also the drunk guys in Cornell. I also want to taste the bread and icecream, and food made there. And those are just some questions I don not know, but are concerned about by some of my friends. (they tried to let me give up.)
Anyway, thank you all.

You are attracted by the drunks? Alex, man, you'll fit right in.
