HI from Australia

Hey there

I'm from sydney in australia and am planning to go on exchange next year for the first semester. I'm really excited, but i'm kind of scared that i'll be on the other side of the planet and might not make friends. Also wanted to ask general questions about uni life at San diego

Firstly over here we have lectures and then tutorials which generally have about 20-30 people.. is it the same over there? Also, are there clubs and socities you can join to get into events nd stuff like that?

One final question is, where would the best place to live on campus be?
Thanks so much=)

plenty of clubs and societies at SDSU

i havnt been to class yet so sorry i cant help you with the classroom structure system but I believe that if your in a lecture hall there is a follow up smaller class. most of my classes arnt lecture halls though.

you should make plenty of friends, just be social and get out and do things.

ON campus has a bunch of good spots to live from what ive heard its mainly preference, im gonna be a freshman but ive done my research and been in the halls.
tenocha, zura, cuicalli are better cause there near the dining hall, zura is known as the wildest, yet the oldest dorms.

I hope you come visit California its wonderful over here. Cheers m8.

I currently go to San Diego State and I'm going to study in Perth next year! The classes vary, some are huge lectures others are not, i'm not quite sure how your registeration is, but ours shows how many seats are open in a certain class. Have fun and enjoy San Diego, if you have any other q's, drop me an email at ucsbdreamin@yahoo.com.
