<p>I am a single mom of a student that I just sent off to college this weekend.
He is attending UCSB. It has been an incredible ride for both of us. I stumbled on this place a couple of months ago. I lurked and learned. </p>

<p>Parent's from everywhere, I want you to know that this has been so helpful to me. I copied list, upon list from the thread about what to send your kid to college with. </p>

<p>I hope to get to know you better. I'm afraid that I am going through the empty nest syndrome. </p>

<p>Wanted to at least post, and let you know what an important resource this is.</p>
