Hello CC, I am currently a junior in high school and earlier this year I was diagnosed with severe ADHD, as a result was I put on aderall xr (a stimulant medication). During my first two years of high school my GPA fluctuated between 3.0 and 3.3 (weighted), after I was diagnosed and medicated it shot up to about 4.2. I have an ACT score of 34, again after being medicated, and am confident that I can reach a 36 when I retake the ACT and the end of this semester.

My question to you all is will I be able to explain to Northwestern that my low GPA and high ACT are not a result of laziness but rather a learning disability that I suffered from undiagonsed for 2 years?

I plan to major in astronomy, with a minor in film and media studies, and I feel that Northwestern is excellent match for me, thank you for your time and consideration in answering my questions.
