I'm a senior, and I just took the December ACT. While I did well in English and reading, my math score was relatively low (it's okay; I just feel like I could have done better) and my science score was pretty bad. Unfortunately, due to medical problems, I wasn't able to take the ACT until this December, and I was unable to spend a lot (actually, any) time preparing. I was sick for basically my entire junior year, and am just now recovering- I'm still not quite back to my usual self. My composite score is in or above the range of the schools I'm applying to, but I'm worried that my low science score will greatly diminish my chances. How much attention do schools pay to the science section? Science isn't an area I'm greatly interested in, and I don't plan on majoring in any math/science related areas in college, if that changes anything. I also feel like the rest of my application is strong, outside of testing.
