Hello everyone! I’m scared that the disparity between my low SAT score and my GPA will cause colleges to think my school has grade inflation. What do you think of a weighted gpa of 4.5, but a low SAT score of 2190? Will ivy leagues frown upon this?
Low SAT!!!, are you sure it is low?
No, but can you take it again?
How many times have you taken?
What’s your UW GPA?
Ha, low. the group of kids admitted to ivies with SAT scores lower than a 2190 collectively laughs. If anything, I’d say that your weighted GPA is (don’t get me wrong, not terrible) the more average of the two. Either way, you’re fine. But if you want to retake the SAT to bring your score up to a 2200+, be my guest.
Trust me, its not low. When you look at the national average and state averages, its not low. You are way above average. Think of it this way: you are only 210 points away from a perfect score. An average kid would cry if he/she saw your score.
(((Rolling Eyes)))) “Low score” = 2190. Only on CC…
The mean score for students reporting an A+ GPA (97-100) is about 1800.
^^ i agree. when i saw this thread, i thought you meant like a 1600 or something.
My unweighted is a 4.0. Should I retake the test? @Jr12317
@dc3225. You are done. Try the SAT one more time for a 2250+. Good luck!
@dc3225, a 2190 places you higher than the 98th percentile. If you think that’s low, you need to take some better stats classes, and quickly.
Also, SAT score and GPA are not everything for those schools. EC’s, letter of recommendations, and Personal Statement are the other part of your app.
Lol I thought by low you meant under 1000
Is that a low score ?
You go to be kidding me !
Sorry everyone, I didn’t know the average sat for my grade point. I thought it was around 2250. I guess it’s CC’s fault; everyone has amazing stats,
I don’t think you need to worry lol. Just work on EC’s and other parts of the application
