High GPA, low test scores

Ok, here's my issue. I'm a junior, male, Florida. My grades are good; 4.25 weighted/ 3.9 unweighted. 7 APs by graduation, 5 Dual enrolled, almost all others honors. Very good EC- selected for county leadership program, 4 years baseball, football, NHS, Collegiate studies class rep, ITS- performed at state level, 100+ hours community service. Problem is, I don't test well- 26 ACT, 1750 SAT. I know that you can waive the scores, but it looks like everyone else's are higher. What are my chances? Wake is my first choice, I visited this fall.

Based on factors other than your test scores, you look like a great applicant.

Try taking the tests again. If you don’t improve, go with the option not to submit your test scores.

I don’t know what it is, but when I get into the test room I forget everything I know. Oh, my class rank is #13/351. Anything else you think I should do? I really want to get into Wake, I felt so comfortable there.

I think you have a great shot. WFU doesn’t require test scores, so don’t send them.

I agree with DougBetsy. Apply without them, as you are a very impressive student. Wake likes well-rounded students, and you are that for sure. The interview is important, so be prepared, but most of all, be yourself! Best of luck to you!

Thanks everyone.
