High School Class of 2013

^^I don’t know any of those college…

Yea I really hate Binghamton now. It’s just so blah.

Descuff didn’t hear of MIT until a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t worry about his statement.

whoops I meant cities.

@dfree124 hahahahaha, so true.

I loved oneonta! The only thing putting me of is the distance and car situation. I’m ~80 miles from Albany in newburgh.

I didn’t like cortland to much. I’ll probably apply to oneonta, and a few CUNY schools and Blair what’s wrong with SUNY’s???

I agree, there’s nothing wrong with SUNYs, especially for the cheap prices! And Binghamton, Stony Brook and Geneseo are actually pretty good schools.

It’s just… They’re not MIT or Wesleyan )=

But I wouldn’t be horrified if I had to end up going to one…

@Descuff

Probably because they aren’t cities, haha. They’re just small towns in Northern NY. Really small.

I’m more put off by the ones closest to me because EVERYONE who graduates from here seems to go there/party there. I’d like to meet new people in college, rather than run into people from high school. Plus, they are just way too close to home. I’d like to get out of NY state, if possible.

Im from long island nd i feel like i know way too many people who go/are going/want to go to SUNYs that i feel like itd be hs all over again…ill prob not apply to any or even any schools in ny bc i really want a total change of pace…i want to live down south so badly!

Wow, a lot of you go to school in New York. Not that many people get into UConn (our state flagship) from my school and usually go to one of the smaller, easier state schools or community college (if they go to college).

I plan on majoring in Biology, graduating at the top of my college class, and eventually become a professor of biology that will travel the world. (I want to learn many languages, so far I have English and Spanish under my belt.)

I did the first two sections of an ACT and got a 29 on English and 33 on Math. That English score is horribleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Also I would be horrified if I had to “settle” for Bing. The Japanese major is so bad I’d rather explode. Three years of the language and I plan to test out of at least one. I want four years. And Int. Affairs is equally as bad.

My first practice test I got like a 30 on english, and, after a lot of practice, I got a 35, 33, and 33 on 3 official tests. Improvement is easy, just take more tests.

my first practice english i got like a 29 and then i got a 33 and 34…i guess ill find out what i got on the real thing soon though, but dont worry its so much easier to get better at than the act in my opinion

Yeah, I agree… The ACT is easier to improve on… The SAT just kills me. Lol

I prefer the ACT to the SAT by far… 1950 sat, with no improvement on 2nd chance, 32 ACT first time, taking it again in june… hopefully will score better next time. I would really love it to not have to take tests in my senior year.

I’m taking the ACT in June for the first time. If I got a 32 I’d be done with it.

Also I hate when I tell people I’m not taking the SAT and they’re all like “But most colleges only take the SAT, idiot.”

I’d be done except for the fact that I took it sophomore year, so I want to improve this year, really only on writing and science. Got a perfect English, near perfect math, so I really want to get above 32 on all 4 sections. (Especially for FSU)

Wishing you luck on your ACT CSI!!!

I’m retaking the SAT May 5th (right in the middle of my IB exams, woohoo). I’m taking the ACT for the first time in June. I’d love to get a higher score on that if I can.
