Starting this forum really early.

Give it a few months and the next year of geniuses will start posting.

Whoa, starting that already? Tsk, it’s way too early XD. Yes, as it were for us but we aren’t even half way into the school year yet. Lol. They might as well start by posting their preferences.

sup 8th graders.

The last year of middle school sucks except for the fun several day field trips you get. But you only get like 1-2 of those the whole year.

8th grade was the best year I’ve ever had. I loved it and wanna go back. May visit them whenever I have time to spare :)

In eighth grade I went to a private Baptist school with 15 students.
Freshman year at a normal school somehow managed to suck a lot more, though.

high school is absolutely nothing to look forward to. if anything, be depressed that you have to wait four years until college. you could not pay me enough to do this all over again.

Oh god. If you want to be in a position of applying to HPYSM, these next four years will be absolute hell. You have no idea how much work it’s going to take.

brb starting a high school class of 2019 thread

I wish I could rewind time to go back to my eighth grade year. I’d plan everything out before starting high school and actually do something proactive in freshman year.

What would be a competitive freshman schedule for HYP?

the best your school offers…

Another tip-you’ll see kids choosing schools like Brown and Dartmouth, and other schools, over HYP. You’ll always think they were crazy until you actually visit the colleges and realize there are way more factors than just prestige. Once you visit HYP, you’ll see they’re overrated.

Along with self-studying for any APs that are significant to you. ^.^

Also, how does one get the opportunity to visit prestigious schools like that? O.O

I’m feeling old :(

Visiting the prestigious universities isn’t too hard if you live relatively close. I visited Princeton this past summer and all you have to do is go one their website and find a time that would suit you and then you drive to the campus . Tour guides are available but you can literally walk on campus and look around.

What did people wish to do in their 8th grade year?

…To enjoy the rest of middle school?

CE, get back to your own thread.
