Ohhhh, UMass Dartmouth, my bad lol. And Tennis625, how far are you from the colleges that you are flying there?

10.5 hrs without including stops and traffic, but its ok bc we are rebooking everything today and possibly booking a flight to indiana to see notre dame!

Oh wow, my parents put a 7 hour by car maximum for me
and thats good, atleast you’ll get to see another great campus.

Im not going that far at all. I’m actually staying pretty close, what makes you guys want to go so far? I’m looking NY, NJ, CT & PA

Thats a really good question, because I have no idea at all lol. I’m looking at NY, CT, NJ, PA, MD, and VA. Only 1 in MD and 1 in VA. Learned about them at a college fair at Hofstra so I figured i’d consider them. Other than those two, my farthest is 5 hours.

No biggie on the UMass Dartmouth confusion - this is why abbreviations are bad!

Also, i’m staying pretty local as well. Mostly looking at colleges here in MA, one or two in NH and maaaaaaybe one in RI.

idk why i wana go far it just kind of happened that way? like all of the schools i love are 7-10 hrs away. part of me likes the idea of going far and experiencing a new culture and type of people

Yeah, can’t wait until this time next year. All the college stress over with, except packing lol.

MA, DC, CT, maybe NY.

I’m looking in CT, NY, one in MA, and one in NC. I’m done with my list, so I really just want the applications to come out so I can get them done and over with.

Anybody thinking about applying early decision or early action?

@Federico I plan on applying ED to Barnard and then EA to all of the schools on my list that offer it.

early to most all schools I’m applying to… none are binding, and all are OOS, so I’m trying to get as good a bump as possible.

I’m doing early on every school that offers it, this way I can know of my acceptance early and have a care free senior year
and that way if something goes wrong (not enough $$, not accepted, etc) then I still have time to apply regular decision.

And my furthest is 3 hours

Wow, goodluck
It’s gotta be kinda strange at an all girls college, unless your high school was like that so your used to it.

hahahhaha no. I go to a coed public high school. My thing about Barnard is that if you have a difficult time meeting guys in NYC then your issue isn’t an all girls school. Not to mention, there are Columbia guys all over Barnard’s campus and classes are offered for both colleges on both campuses, so it’s pretty much inevitable to have guys in most of your classes.

Lol yeah you got a point there. Plus yeah its right across the street from Columbia,

I really want to do EA at UNC but I’ve only taken the SAT once, and I know I can do it better. Soo, I’ll probably take the October test, and just not do EA.

Oooh, the October test would be good for some school’s early action deadline, but deff not UNC’s

You can still do early action for UNC and take the october sat. I’ve only taken it once too. They say you only need to send in your application and the rest has to be in by november!
