Guys, I spent almost all of today researching schools, BUT I’m almost done with my list!!!

One of the only things I have left to decide is if I should apply EA to UChicago or not. I visited and I like it, but I didn’t love it. Without it I have either 3 or 4 Reaches on my list, all of which I like better than UChicago. Then I have 5 or 6 Safeties and Matches. Of those UChicago would rank either 2 or 3. Do you guys think I should still apply to Chicago?

I just realized that if I did happen to get into G’town, the only AP credit I could have received was for AP English. I decided to take Bio and Calc instead of English :P

Now I have to convince myself that one extra class in college isn’t important at all.

on the school website it said that “senior portraits days” already took place in June, but I wasn’t ever notified about it so I’m not sure if I missed senior picture day or if that was something else :/

I didn’t want to show my teeth because of their imperfections (They need to be straightened. It’s not bad enough to need braces, but still bad enough to make me self-conscious. No one can tell that they’re not straight unless they’re looked for the crookedness. They need to be filed too.) It turns out I looked better having a little showing and the imperfections didn’t show up 8)

Damn yo, I have to schedule mine. Our school was like, “oh if you get them done in June they’re 15% off!,” as they hand out the forms on the 13th.

As for schools…/sigh. Much more research needs to be done. My list only has 4 schools on it but it’s just not enough.

^ Lol cuz they’re all super excited for high school. We, for the most part, are tired and ready to graduate. And we can only answer those college threads so many times before getting annoyed. Sometimes I feel like the dream and safety school threads only exist so that people can take note of their competition. -_-

I guess you’re right. The last thing I really want to talk about is looking for colleges. It’s getting annoying at this point. I wish I could fast-forward to winter and actually get to enjoy senior year.

But this thread doesn’t have to be about academics, right?

If only we actually could fast-forward lol… I can’t wait for school to start up again so I can see everybody that I don’t during the summer, but by the second week I want summer again. I’m actually excited to start my classes, which probably sounds really weird, but for the most part I got an semi-easy senior schedule Plan on applying early action to which ever schools offer it, and figure why not send out the other applications early on too And I don’t get the 8th graders talk about their schedules for throughout all of highschool, unless required to make them all before freshman year… Like a few were asking if their schedules were tough enough for senior year, like ***f?

They’ll probably not follow through on those schedule plans. I thought I’d take 4 APs sophomore year; I ended up with 2 (I overestimated my abilities. AP Spanish is impossible if you had a bad Spanish 3 teacher. AP Psych was full). I thought that as a senior, I’d have 7 APs. I’ll have 3. They don’t realize that schools get rid of APs (Mine got rid of Stats, Art History, Euro, and Calc).

They don’t realize how much things change in 4 years. Their schedule plans will most likely, not work out.

I hate to be so negative about this, but it’s true. It’s good that they have goals and plans, but I honestly think that they don’t realize that it doesn’t always work out the way they planned.

On another note: Have you guys started back-to-school shopping? Do you get your lists ahead of time? When do you guys start?
