High School Class of 2013

I was thinking to apply to florida SSP, JSA and maybe another in-state.

double Major:biochemistry, economics

I want to go to New Paltz:)!!! I love tennis, art, singing, reading, and skiing. I want to major in art, but I don’t want to just sell my work. Maybe work for pixar or in advertising design:)

MIT or NYU is where it’s at for me! :)

Carleton fo’ moi.

Or MIT, but that’s the obvious answer.

So how are everyone’s grades?

^ I have a 103 in AP US Government. :)

I have 3 other As, one B, and two Cs (in Spanish and Bio). I’m sure that the B will go up to at least a B+, and the two Cs will become Bs. I have a month left until the end of the quarter, which is more than enough time for me.

^Wow I wish I had your smarts! lol I’m what my friends call a smart dumbass…I am really smart but just really lazy and don’t do the work lol

I got 6 A’s and I B (Math) but will go to an A

MIT or Caltech fo sure. However, with my 3.5 freshman average (4 Bs in Math and 1 B in Science) it seems unattainable. sigh

My list atm:

Penn Wharton
Dartmouth
Cornell
Brown
Duke
Chicago
Michigan Ross

I need to get my Bio and Spanish grades up, though…

I have straight A’s in my 9 classes but I’m behind pace for 3 of them (FLVS :c).

My overly ambitious college dreams:
Yale
Brown
Columbia
Stanford
Princeton
Dartmouth
Oxford

@Anythingtosay- what classes are you taking? I am also doing FLVS.

I thought a smart dumbass was someone who is actually intelligent who is kind of klutsy and doesn’t appear to be that smart?

Yeah that is what I thought too lol my friends call me a smart lazyass

Hello everyone!

I’m Jessie, obviously I’m a sophomore. I love science and almost everything else. I tutor kids, play the guitar, flute, ukulele, and sing, I’m halfway done writing my first novel, and web design/game design. I’m a little bit of a nerd but except for the glasses I don’t look like one at first glance.

I’ve had the weirdest occurance this year… I’m getting the best grades in my hardest classes. The english teacher who never gives As gave me an A (and I’m usually not the best at english), I’m getting the best grade in my AP Chemistry class out of everyone (an A, 102% test average, and I’m the only girl), and I’m getting an A in history without trying at all. The weird thing is that my easiest class (honors pre-calc) is the class I’m getting the worst grade in. It’s just an A- (unless I fail my final) but I find it weird that I’m doing really well in all of the classes that should be/are really difficult. Is this happening to anyone else?

Going along with the conversation (sorry for such a long post!) my list at the moment is:
Stanford
MIT
Brown
Any other Ivies if I feel it’s right in 2 years
University of Michigan (all of my relatives live in Ann Arbor)
Reed (I love it, but it seems too small)
and plenty of other places

I go to a tiny high school so I want at least an average sized college. I want to major in either Computer Science, Chemistry, Business, Japanese, or some sort of double major involving these.

My grades are awful right now, anxiety problems. But, I’d like to major in kinisieology, history, foreign affairs, or advertising. I know, broad list. I have no idea where I want to go.

Enjoying winter break by studying for mid-terms. How wonderful is that? I am forcing myself to get A’s on the mid-terms, so I can get A’s in the class andd get a perfect GPA but it seems like a long distance for now.

Exams before break is a wonderful invention. Except for the two week wait to find out how you did…

Oh, for us- we have a three day absence before knowing our grades on the semester exam or the teachers sometimes tell us right in class if it’s a multiple-choice.
