High School Class of 2013

I was just thinking…

After this year, we’ll be upperclassmen! :o
I remember joining at the beginning of freshman year!
Happy Holidays!!!

Meh, midterms. Idgaf really.

Upperclassmen = IB

Who’s going to be an IB student???

Not me…! :stuck_out_tongue:
Good luck with the IB program!

I’m going to be doing a few AP… Mostly languages and writing/performing arts… ^^;;
I hope to take AP or SAT II in Spanish, Japanese, and Korean.
I might add another core class instead of Spanish though.
Dropping Varsity Tennis (Line 1 Singles since Freshman) so I can take Korean at CC and maybe get a job… or just write a ton instead of a job.

I need to start getting my 10,000 hours of deliberate practice!!! ^_^

What type of job? I want to get some job experience before I graduate HS, however I don’t think I can get one unless it’s during school breaks.

One at a bookstore… ^^;;
That way I can get discounts in addition to a paycheck. xD

Funimation is also close to my house… but who knows if they have openings… :/

I am going to be in IB.
Sophmore year = Pre-IB
So they are “preparing us” by “giving us homework.”
When I say homework = A lot of Homework that I have to stay from 4 to 10.

Everyone rate your 10th grade year? Rate it on a 1 to 10 scale (10 being the best)!

I give my year a 3.5/10 :(

Grades: 7/10. For the most part I’m satisfied, but Spanish has been a pain in the ass for me.
Social: 7/10. Much better than last year, can’t wait til’ lax season.
Athletic: 8/10. Started lifting after school in the school gym in September and making decent progress.

Hi everyone!

My year has been decent so far, I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

Anyway, in the future I’d really like to go to Columbia University, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, or University of Pennsylvania to double major in Sociology and Cognitive Sciences (I’d like to minor in French). Eventually, I’d like to get my doctorate in sociology and teach the subject to high school students or become a college professor.

It all sounds very random (and probably useless) to you guys but I really love sociology and teaching others. I figured this is a nice plan. What do you guys want to do in the future?

Hey guys! Fellow sophomore here! So far, this year has been going better than freshman year by a ton. I would really like to go to a liberal arts college like Pomona or Oberlin, but I live in Texas and my parents want me to go to an in state public school because it is so much cheaper. I want to double major or major/minor in genetic engineering and music, specifically viola performance (hence the name). I’m glad to meet some new people here!

Hey. Is anyone else here reading this thread to check out future competition? just wonderin

^Nope, I’m not. I have a very competitive nature… so I know to keep myself away from certain subjects that will make me competitive. xD

^^ Hey! :slight_smile: Yay, fellow Texan! Nice to meet you!

We’re a rather interesting bunch, or so it seems

Haha nope, I wish everyone here the best of luck. I think I’m kind of naturally laid back. There’s plenty of competition I don’t know of anyway.

Hey losers.

Aww sophomores :slight_smile: how cute

Nop

Just to talk

Maybe… ;)

ew…We go back tomorrow ):
