I’ve been in school since the first week of August. I can stand the new year feeling, but now all my classes have settled in. Senior life is going great.

Wow, I’m fortunate live where I am, then. It’s a given to go at least 5 over the speed limit over here. Some people go ten over but I stick to 5 so I don’t get a ticket.

Can you believe the ticket prices for going 1 mph over the speed limit in a school zone?! $101 dollars. Thankfully, our school policeman is forgiving after school.

…101. why. just round it to something nice like 100 or 105.

also, oi, 10 over the limit is too slow. I drive at the limit though, i’m paranoid like that.

And i’m itching to get back to school. I’m not going to talk about it at all tomorrow though, because if I do i’ll be up all night thinking about it.

Got a pretty nasty cold just in time for the first day. Silly immune system…

@Elleya: I took A&P last year. Such a joke because the teacher was ridiculous and didn’t know how to pronounce half the stuff. I imagine it being a pretty cool class in the hands of a good teacher. Hopefully it can help you for nursing!

Alright, commercial break of Breaking Bad season finale is ending. Bye.

@Elleya There was a chart in a school saying the fine prices. Maybe one morning while I’m driving to school I’ll take a picture of it. The prices were outrageous!

I haven’t been sick at all in the past six or eight months. I’m proud of myself pats self on back

hi, I just joined this thread. You know you’re late when it’s already 300plus pages in lol. @Elleya…I wish I could be that paranoid when I’m driving…got a $116 ticket for going 15 over :(

Yeah, I generally go 5 over the limit. The cops in the town nearby are really strict though, so I have to go at a snail’s pace down a semi-major road with people right on my bumper because the speed limit is 25. Maybe they shouldn’t put houses on a main road. -_-

It’s amazing how much I’ve changed my college list in the past couple of months (and even since freshman year). A good majority are matches and safeties and only 4 are reaches.

Freshman year and sophomore year, I thought I’d only apply to Ivies. Now I’m only applying to 2 Ivies. I might just narrow it down to 1. I think it has to do with not wanting that many rejection letters. (other 2 reaches are Duke and NYU)

The cops in my town don’t care at all. The cops in the towns around me patrol one main street in each town and everyone knows which street it is, so that’s the only street we don’t speed on. Otherwise, no one in my school has ever gotten stopped for speeding, having other people in the car, drinking and driving, etc. I mean I guess it also doesn’t help that when there are country concerts and stuff the kids who didn’t go drive around town and look for all of the D.U.I. check points and tweet them so the half drunk/half sober kids coming home stay away from them.

My first day of senior year will be over in t-minus less than 36 hours. WOWWW.

I live in Georgia and public transportation is almost non-existent. You need a car to get anywhere over here. Cops are all over the place here. I wished I lived in your town.

The CUNY app comes out tomorrow. I’ll probably just submit it by Wednesday or so. There’s no essay, and there’s no harm in turning it in early. (I think…) The deadline isn’t until Feb, but I’m kind of excited (even though they’re just safeties).

My mom and I were talking about this last night, but this is my last year at home and in FL. I probably won’t move back here unless my parents needed me or something like that.

It’s weird, a year from now we’ll all be starting college. Is there a college class of 2017 thread in some other group? Do they do that in the college forums (threads by class)?

I started on my essays which are pretty straight forward. I’m going to try to sell myself. The good thing is there’s no real rush with deadlines being in November and I gave myself until the 14th to apply. UCF is rolling admissions but I don’t really want to go to that school…

I’m excited, too! My mom knows I’m too scared and comfortable here to go out-of-state or undergrad. But I know I’m leaving for graduate school. I might move back home to work at a local engineering company just do I can save up to move. She’s not too happy about that but hey, all good things come to an end. :/

I hope I can end up in Miami. I’d probably get a degree in Chemsitry or Biomedical Engineering…then move for med school or idk…

All the colleges I’m applying to are SUNY…pretty straightforward app, with an easy supplement. I have finished both, and all I need are my teacher recs. I’m not too worried about it. Yet.
