@syracusebound - Hi! Welcome. I have a friend who is pretty set on going to syracuse. Its his dream school haha he has a bunch of apparrel bought straight off campus.

Colleges i’m interested in:
Duke, UNC, UVA, UMD College Park, Dartmouth, JHU, and lastly TCNJ if I reallu have to.

@syracusebound: welcome to cc!! hope you enjoy your time here. you will become addicted. :P

@609: haha sounds like fun~ esp. the yugioh, chess, and movies part.

I am only looking at safety/match colleges because reach/dream colleges (besides Japan!) would add too much money for applications, and because I love the other matches/safeties just as much if not more.

Out of the Country: Waseda (JPN), Meiji (JPN), Yonsei (KOR), McGill (CAN), and I am still looking at a few more…

In America: UCLA, USC, NYU, Barnard College, CSU Long Beach, Hampshire College, Temple U, Boston U, Tufts U, Smith College, and UMass-Amherst.

Just curious, Rayna, what do the international schools offer you that make you attracted to them and or what is it that they offer that you can’t get at an American institution?

^ Well you see, I want to major in Japanese or East Asian Studies. Many American universities have great programs and courses, but I would rather live in the country or area that I am learning about than learn from textbooks (of course it would be a combination of both in Japan or Korea). Since they have English curriculums for the major I would like to have, why not? :P

And I don’t really count McGill as “international” but it’s not “US” either… xD It has a wonderful Japanese/East Asian program and is closer to home than Japan or Korea and it is not as expensive as private colleges.

Wow east asian studies, tres tres intriguing. What kind of employment options would you have when you grauduate?

Btw are you asian? Haha

thank you for the kind welcomee! I am set to going to Syracuse. I’ve lived here almost my whole life and its my dream school. Now I just hope they accept me, which is al
long shotttt! :o

and you should see my closet ive got 6 different clothing items that syracuse lacrosse alone, excluding basketball and general shirts. he’ll love it here. but if he isn’t use to snow he’ll be shocked.

and I’ve been looking at this site for a couple of years now and I just decided too make a account to participate!

But anyways, its so scary junior year is next year. I feel like yesterday was my first year of high school. It’s weird to think I’ll be a adult soon and living on my own.

ooh okay I see you guys are talking about your summer. this summer i hope to

get a job

haha lax lax lax I used to play lax during 4-8th grade… it was pretty sweet. I quit so I could focus on tennis, but I’m sure I still have my lax skills :)

@609: haha I am asian, I was adopted to a white, jewish-american family… and as for jobs… well I want to be a screenwriter/director/musician/actress in Japan sooo I thought I’d use college to get to know the country. If those occupations don’t work out, I would love to get a doctorate and teach at a university in Japan with an English curriculum. :)
