High School Class of 2013

@syracusebound I totally feel you re math. It’s definitely my weakest suit and it’s been bringing my composite scores on practice tests WAY down.

What SAT books are you guys using? I need to buy some.

@Syracusebound I’m the same! Math just is not my thing and I could have scored alot higher on the PSAT had I been able to do the math portion

And between sports and getting ready for a possible move to china my life has been so hectic I haven’t gotten to hang with any of my friends since the last week of school! Fortunately I’m with my baseball team in panama city right now and am getting to do things with them but all of this college stuff is still here and I’m having to put it off! Why do schools have to make life so difficult for us at times?

In order to study for the ACT, do you guys recommend taking A LOT of practice tests?? over and over again?

^here ya go!

I believe the best way to study is to do well in your high school classes. You should naturally get a high score then.

I swear, woeishe, you need to tutor me in math. I mean, I did well enough in my pre-AP course this year (about an 82), but my math is still the weakest part of both my SATs and ACTs when I do practice tests. I mean, I know I’m familiar with my concepts, given the fact that I did very well on my final exam in the course (which was a week ago tomorrow, so it’s not even like I’ve lost knowledge over the summer yet), I just seem to…make mistakes.

I got a 90% on my global regents :)

@rayna- thanks soo much, i’ll take a look at that :D

@woeishe- i’m mostly afraid of the time constraints…I did horrible on the PLAN test b/c of time…

The ACT isn’t very forgiving on time.

lol that’s not what i wanna hear haha. How long is it…3 hrs 45 mins? and for each section we have an equal amount of time?

@HHS2013 oh good someone feels the way I do. I just am struggling so much with it. I don’t know what to do. And they way they word all the questions on the entire test makes it difficult too.

@Rolando4 [This should answer your question](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

@Syracusebound it’s crazy! I’m going to an sat prep tutor and focusing in math because otherwise I’m gonna do horrible

i hate the math portion…i’ve forgotten most of the stuff that’s on it :(

I say all of us that are bad at math have a little chat or something and try to figure out where we’re making mistakes and develop a plan of action to fix that! As an international student, I need the best M/CR scores and highest ACT I can get to afford college in the US, so I definitely don’t want to be floundering at the last minute.

I hate the critical reading. It doesn’t make any sense. Well, probably because English is my second language. But I love the math and science. I am such a stereotypical Indian. No offense. haha. :P

I passed my driving test  anyways, Science and Reading/Asian Languages are my favorite subjects, followed by math.

@ZombieDante- Thank you, that really helped!

My favorite subject is History  lol…math is okay, but not the best.
