I have to read The Great Gatsby for AP English, and then we had a choice of 5 others to supplement our curriculum. I’ve chosen Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

I have to read a book about the great awaking, Invisible Man, and Ghost Map :/

yes, Middlesex. Have you heard of it or are you just making fun of the name?

Has anyone read the color of water? I had to read it last summer and my sister has to read it this year

^Nope I’ve really never heard of it. There is a street by me but I didn’t know it was an actual school :/

I made a 32 on the ACT!!!
I’m not taking it again.

^nice!!! that’s great! ^o^

@woeishe AWESOME!!! Congrats!!! =D

@woeishe - awesome!

I am preparing for the SAT. Dreadful.

How are you all studying for the SAT/ACT?? Are you guys just reviewing the info? or attending prep classes? Also, @Woeishe - how did you prepare for the ACT? thanks!

@Rolando4, I didn’t xD

I’m just looking over the blue book right now. After I take a couple practice tests I’ll see what I’m weak on and go from there. So far it seems that the really obscure vocabulary words are the things lowering my score :P

I’ve been doing some practice sections from the Kaplan Book. I didn’t want to do the blue book until right before the SATs in October so that I’m using the best tests right beforehand.

eh my parents are making me do this SAT prep course. I told them I would do just as well on my own… but oh well. Since it’s available to me, I’ll make full use of it…

There are lesson plans for Math + Vocab, and I’m studying them all intensely. I’m trying to take a full timed SAT every Saturday morning and review what I got wrong.

You guys all seem very dedicated and studious haha. I promised myself that i wuould study all summer, and it’s already July and i just took my first practice ACT test today…lol. @Woeishe - haha, congrats, i don’t know how you did it though! :P

i think math is going to be the downfall for me. I’m just not understanding it. All of the passages and everything will come within time. Butt the math is just so difficult I don’t know what to do.

Is taking online classes along with my regular school classes a bad idea?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I want to volunteer and work outside of the school, but I just have no idea where to start. I messed up my first two years, and so I am giving it my all this one last year because I found out what my goal is.

Ask the guidance office at your school. A lot of times employers send offers to them. Also, if you have a local zoo or animal shelter give them a call, they might be looking for help.

I did 60 hours at the library I just regret not having much more time o volunteer again though between work school and sports it’s been hard to see my friends
