I’m only taking the ACT… And I can’t take it till March. I have 3 days of that and trimester exams the Monday before and Friday after >.<

does anybody know which schools force you to take sat subject tests? I would be happy just taking the sat and act if it was okay…

I think most classes want you to take sat subject tests. Anybody taking physics C? That is my hardest class…

I wish I could take physics C… I made the stupid mistake of not doubling up in science freshman year, so this year I’m taking chemistry and next year I’m taking honors physics. I can’t take ap physics and physics in one year.

but that class seems so interesting and you’re very lucky to take it. Unless you totally don’t want to something that involves science… that class is great if you’re more science/math inclined but if you want to do something totally different like business, it might not seem like it’s a great class. but I bet you’ll learn a lot! my sister took it and she learned so much despite disliking the class.

i’m taking psats this month ![]()
how do you qualify for merit?
like what’s the range?

It depends on where you live, but somewhere around like 217-225ish

I am too busy this year. -_- It’s just another one of those years.

So nervous about next week…

I just found out today that if I maintain straight As, I’ll be Valedictorian at the end of this year =)

Now I’m slightly less worried about the PSAT.

Hey guys, how are y’all preparing for the PSAT? what were your scores from last year and goals for this year?

What did you all think of the psat? It wasnt hard as I expected.

I’m taking the PSAT this weekend (Saturday)

I’m doing a test out of the blue book and that’s pretty much my studying lol.

I don’t remember my exact scores, but last year I was in the 91st percentile (Am I using that correctly?) for both critical reading and writing skills, with and the 70th percentile for math.
I think I’ve improved in all categories, but not enough for NMS.

Hey, I’m shooting for the Ivies and want to go into law. I’m freaking out about the PSATs. I think I did really well on Writing, pretty well on CR and TERRIBLE on math. I really want NMS but I’m not sure it was good enough.

If you did terrible on math, that would greatly diminish your chances of hitting the cutoff, primarily because math always has a devilish curve, the worst out of all 3 sections.

Exactly how important are the PSATs? Don’t colleges not see your scores? And do Ivies really care that much about NMS and stuff?

I used to think they were important, and I did take it my sophomore year even though I couldn’t qualify for NMS. However, I’ve heard more recently that NMS isn’t as “prestigious” as it used to be or something like that so I wouldn’t really worry about it.

I feel so bad. With so many clubs to run and everything, I don’t even go on CC anymore. :(

Aww :(…no one cares! Because honestly you could have, if you really wanted to. But anyway welcome back :)

Hey guys long time no see!
I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to get on! T_T
Hope you are all doing well and not letting Junior year kill you!!
