High School Class of 2013

^That’s what I was thinking! How can you take IB math HL as a sophmore ibsleep?

13 chapters of ap world in 4 days? woah

^yep 300 pages of wonder.lol!

He takes Alg 2/Trig 9th grade, then takes The equiv of Precalc(IB Math HL 1) In 10th grade.

ibSleepy, you in VA? And will you do SL 2 then HL 2?

I took Honors Algebra 2 in 9th grade. Now I’m taking IB Math HL I. We are going to do trig, complex numbers, rational functions, exponential/log functions, then calculus, and finish up the year with vectors, probability/statistics, and linear algebra.

Next year I’m taking IB Math HL II, and the following year I’ll take Multivariate Calculus and Matrix Algebra split into two semesters. It’s probably going to be tough, but I’ll end up getting through a ton of college math. The worst part will probably be studying for the exam because I guess I’ll have to take it senior year for the IB Diploma, but I think I’ll be alright because I have at least 6 other kids in my class doing basically the same thing.

So far, it’s not that hard IMO, but we’ll see. I’ve heard IB Math HL is like the hardest IB class besides maybe HL Physics.

Yeah, you do know you can’t take the HL 2 Exam your junior year, right?
basically, the percentage for a 6/7 is LOW for both HL Math and HL Physics.

HL Math is a joke to me, but we don’t get into the calculus until like 12th grade. We finish up with sequences and prob/stat.

o

I take Cambridge math (IGCSE). It’s similar to IB but it’s for freshmen and sophomores. Last year’s math was Algebra 2 and some PreCalc, and this year’s going to be a continuation of PreCalc along with some Calc.

Then I go into AP BC Calc next year! EFF YEAAR

AP Calc BC this year… online.

Except for the fact I’m a junior 2012 ******es.

^ Get out. You heard me

Please. You have no authority over me.

Doing pre-calc this year.
I feel like I should have skipped it. Oh well.

sophomore year=pain in the ass. how could i ever have thought that i had a lot of work freshman year??? oh well. at least i love all of my teachers except for the math and chem ones.

^That’s what I thought. It’s exhausting. I hate sophmore year. But what’s fun is Im starting a new club in my school. so Im really happy.

Sophomore year is going very well so far, besides the fact that it’s only the second week of school and I’m having three tests in five days :)

^How are three tests fun?

Sophomore year is going very well so far, besides the fact that it’s only the second week of school and I’m having three tests in five days

^

oh, Got it! ^Thank you.

bump…

Also, we’re going to order class shirts at my school soon (I’m class treasurer). Anyone got any good ideas/slogans? >_>

What is your club?

My sophomore year has been bumpy.

I’m dropping H Algebra II and probably going into a regular Algebra II class. I didn’t take an H math course freshman year, so I doubled up the regular (Geometry) course with H Algebra II to have all H courses next year in my schedule. Problem is, a teacher is teaching the H course who hasn’t taught honor kids in a long time. He goes extremely fast without explaining.

Seriously, that whole class has made me question my whole high school career so far. I was in the, “Oh jeez, no honors math, then no good college, the no decent job, then no happy life, then sad…sad death.” It was ridiculous.

Glad some of you are having a better time!
