High School Class of 2015

haha I love NY city too. I’m pretty much a city person, drive my dad crazy.

So, what are you guys doing this summer?
Travel baseball, basketball, XC practice, and an online AP Macroeconomics/Ap Biology course.

I’m doing
freshman transition academy
Vanderbilt Summer Academy
Girls and Science Camp
DAnce workshop
Voice and Piano Lessons (Continuation of what i do during the school year)-once a week
Band-once a week
Math- twice a week
Babysitting

New York was nice. I’m a city person too.

The city is great. Too great for us to talk about it…LOL

Boston is better than New York.

I’m rowing, doing a ceramics workshop, German Camp :), reading, writing, piano and violin, and enjoying my last summer before prep school.

pittsburgher, what you said about Boston is what my parents keep telling me. I visited Boston before. Next year I may go there for a long visit so I’ll see what it’s really like.

I will do CTY ancient greek camp, piano, clarinet, and figure staking. I will also keep tutoring if I can. I also play in a band once a week. This is a REAL band! I’m thrilled to be part of it.

@Political, where do you take your online courses?

Thinkwell.com, and CTY.

@shmluza,
Boston is amazing. When you go for your long visit, Definitely spend some time in Copley and go to the Giant Apple Store. It will blow your mind.

So what are your grades look like in middle school? It looks like I’m going to get my first B in my life. I’m really mad! I know it’s not the end of the world but I’m just mad. It sounds like I’m a loser but I really got this horrible science teacher… What are your science teachers like? I got a horrible science teacher in 6th grade. 7th grade science teacher was awesome. This year’s science was like a nightmare.

my grades have been good. but I haven’t had any good science teacher in middle school. math teacher in 7th and 8th has been awesome though.
@ifax, thanks. I wish I could go tomorrow. :)

My science teacher is ridiculous. She’s probably one of the worst teachers I’ve ever had. She tries to start fights with kids in my class, and always winds up arguing with me and my friends about politics.

As for grades, I’ve had good grades. Pretty much all A’s with an occasional B. Anyone else?

All As and an A+ in math and sometimes an A+ in religion and French

all my grades in middle school have 95+ (mainly 97-99) with the exception of a 93 in geometry.
These are all final 9 weeks/semester report card grades tho… on assignments/quizzes/tests and progress reports i’ve of course had worse so

I have to ask…Science teacher’s views?
All As and A pluses, except for a B+ in third grade :).
Just got back from the June SAT.

Surprise! My science teacher gave me an A, even though I had 89.23. So now I have all As in school. (my schools don’t have A+ or A-. >90 is an A.)
I don’t care. I still think this is the worse teacher I’ve ever had. she made science horrible!

@PoliticalProtege, how was the SAT? Was it hard? Hey I remember you were good. maybe you got 2400 this time? If you do, you should have a tutor session on CC, at least to this class. Anyway, best of luck!

Nah, not a 2400, but definitely 2300 plus.
It’s really easy, but I have a knack for standardized tests (not bragging, just kinda true).

Reporting in.

Welcome, Hobbit!

@nomatterwhat, so after a year of crappy science class, she did you a favor of awarding you an A for a 89.23? Tell her to check her math, maybe she miscalculated it anyway. Sorry I sound mean to your teacher, but I really don’t have anything good to say about some science teachers. Like mine, I don’t think she understands the material she’s teaching.

@Political, I’m sure you did great. You have to let us know what you get when you find out. You really should start a virtual tutor session here like Silverturtle did. :)
