^^ My bad, I can’t type and read Wikipedia at the same time.

But Immigration and EPL contradict that.

Really? Hmmm, Something to ponder about.

Golfcrewxctrack, why so? Fiscal or social policy?

Sorry to nudge in but, this is a quote from Wikipedia.
“A large majority of liberals favor universal health care, with many supporting a single-payer system. A majority also favor diplomacy over military action, stem cell research, the legalization of same-sex marriage, secular government, stricter gun control, and environmental protection laws as well as the preservation of abortion rights. Immigration and cultural diversity is deemed positive; liberals favor cultural pluralism, a system in which immigrants retain their native culture in addition to adopting their new culture. They tend to be divided on free trade agreements and organizations such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Most liberals oppose increased military spending and the display of the Ten Commandments in public buildings”
So yes, I’m a liberal.

^^ well I’m a Christian and the republican side for stuff like abortion and stem cell research and gay rights goes with that and my parents are very conservative republicans

You sure your parents went to Harvard? And not Dartmouth? JKJKJK
I’m not mocking their intelligence, just saying that the most conservative Ivy is Dartmouth, which is pretty darn liberal itself.
DCJacob: Yes, you are definitely a liberal. But when you say free trade, it depends on what you’re talking about. NAFTA wasn’t that “free trade”-like. I assumed you meant full-fledged free trade.
I support everything you stand far as well. But I lean libertarian on government involvement in abortion and gay marriage, meaning that I wish government got out of our bodies and out of marriage.
BTW, I’m a deist (I don’t believe in divine intervention).

^Sorry for the confusion. high fives YEAH, for the abortion and gay marriage. I mean like it’s your baby/vagina so, do the f*** you want to do with it.

^Exactly. Why should big government impose its views on others?

^^you do know that the baby is in the uterus right?

^some view abortion as murder

I know. Herp to the Derp.

My viewpoint on abortion is that it is personal.
Also, why should a baby be brought into the world if its not going to get the attention it deserves? That’s more torture than abortion?
Karma is a ***** and an angel. It’ll help out the baby’s soul in the end.
Abortion is not murder. It is a legal procedure sanctioned by the courts and the states allowing mothers to control their own pregnancies.
It seems to me most social conservatives stop caring about the babies the moment they come out.

I didn’t say it was a legal a procedure sanctioned by the courts and states, but some may see it as murdering the fetus. It’s just like how some conservatives are against stem cell research and euthanasia.

I just don’t see any reasoning against stem cell research.
Euthanasia opposition makes sense, but I’m for it.

well I looked up the stance of the catholic church on stem cell research and it says:

The Catholic Church is against embryonic stem-cell research because it involves the destruction of human embryos. Pope John Paul II said embryonic stem-cell research is related to abortion, euthanasia and other attacks on innocent life.

Euthanasia makes no sense to me. :?

its because some view it as assisted suicide and some think that if you commit suicide you’ll go straight to Hell

Let’s offer therapy and a great big hug.
I’m usually a happy person, so yeah. hugs

Stem cell research is a godsend to most. We can’t let fringe religious groups control us.
Euthanasia, again is a personal decision. I agree with therapy, but I see nothing wrong with assisted suicide.

^there’s nothing wrong with people having an opinion about things such as stem cell research based on religious beliefs
