High School Class of 2015

wow thats big. I thought my school was big lol. though that could be because I came from a school where a big grade had 20 people

Guys don’t sweat about yale, You’re just freshman. Take a chill pill, and go outside or something

I’m not a freshman and I don’t want to go to Yale

omg golfcrew, you’re a freaking havard legacy!
I bet (to answer the question that Political posed) s/he is from MA.

Here’s my connection to harvard - my great aunt (my mom’s aunt) married a guy whose father went to Harvard. If you can trace this, that is. lol

I go to a public with a bunch of single digit IQs. yeah feel sorry for me. I don’t have any choice.

I actually do not live in MA. lol single digit IQs haha

Hahaha, I live in London. Yeah, the one in England. Lol, I go to a private school and we have a 100 people in the whole SCHOOL. But since I’m changing next year that’ll change…

As for college, HYPS all the way! I have a special spot for P, but maybe that’s because I have a love/hate relationship with the Garden State. Ooohh, LAC’s too. Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore… What about you guys? I may stay on here, and try for Oxford or Cambridge.

What’s to love about the Garden State? Our obese, stone hearted governor, the smoke on the Turnpike, or the innercity teams whupping suburban teams? LOL.

Anyone here going to be volunteering for Obama 2012?

@Political, no. Just the fact that you can’t go a few miles up the road till you see another fast food joint (Wendy’s anyone?). Jersey’s way too diverse. You have preppy in Princeton then mirthless in Middlesex. It’s so bad it’s good.

I HATE the weather. I mean, 3 feet of snow as soon as you land in Newark - Off putter! Then there’s the accent… Why do Jerseyans say W-oo-ter instead of w-A-ter? It’s weird but I guess it’s just a Jersey thing. I love the way you guys say coffee though. Who wants some Cawfee? Lol.

Other then those accoutrements of Jersey life, the rest is pretty much annoying. Jersey Shore does not accurately represent New Jersey.

Atleast your only a train ride away from Philly and NY. That must be nice, no?

@Political. Ya I have done it since sixth grade. I love it! This year since we had a new teacher/facilitator for MUN, she pretty much put me in charge of the program which was pretty awesome. I am from Tennessee (south represent!). but yeah, im not in the back woods or rural country… I’m in a white-bubble suburbia. But the south isn’t stupid or bad like everyone makes it out to be. I go to a public school. It’s a good school, and relatively competitive. We have about 400 kids in a grade.

@Political. No I’m not, but I think that it sounds awesome. Are you?

And I know I’m a little late to the party on this discussion but I don’t think legacy nor affirmative action is fair. Just because a person’s parents went to a school shouldn’t factor into that person’s admission process. And I don’t think that affirmative action is fair because a person’s race shouldn’t affect the admission process. True equality is where we are color blind, finding no need to help nor disadvantage an individual based on skin color, or any other extenuating factor (this is coming from a girl of color)
I think athletic recruit is fair game so…
but whatever… end of my little rant

@PoliticalProtege,
The only person I’d ever volunteer for if he ran for president was George Carlin. Unfortunately, he’s dead and wasn’t a politician.

Any other George Carlin fans?

I love George Carlin, he’s terrific.
I’m from Middlesex. WE ARE NOT MIRTHLESS! I was flying back home from London a couple days after the big storm in the winter…
Yes, I’m going to.
I think everyone should be considered by individual circumstance. If socioeconomic status/race/legacy affected them in a certain way, they should be given a boost. If it’s just a pad on to the application, it shouldn’t matter.

How tall are you guys?

So young…

I’m 5’8 but I usually grow 2-3 inches in the summer and I just want to get to 5’9 or 5’10.

What? And you’re an 8th grader? dang It must be the water over here or something, because all the 8th graders I’ve seen so far are teensy.

ya a lot of the people in my grade are shorter than me but there are some people who are already 6 feet + but one of my friends is 4’11

^Funny, I’m about 5-9. And yeah, I grow exactly 2-3 inches in the summer. So Hoping for 6 feet this year lol.

@Political, I assume that your a male, correct? (I’m a female) I’m 5’ 7", and I tend to grow anywhere from 1-3 inches each summer. How did you get involved with the Obama campaign?
