We are learning about Genetics

Noice, noice. We had our genetics unit right before evolution.

We are finishing up genetics

In biology, I’m learning about Cell Replication.

Anyone taking AP bio next year? I’m not. Never taking bio again for the rest of my high school career.

My bio teacher is a pain in the butt. She lies to us about assigning hw that she never assigned, then yells at us for not doing the hw even though it was never assigned. I want to take AP bio senior year.

I took honors bio in eighth grade and I had THE most amazing teacher ever! My school unfortunately offers only one AP sophomore year and none freshman year

I’m taking AP Bio next year!! Maybe along with AP Chem, unless I chose to postpone that class for junior year.

Is any1 taking chemistry currently?

Btw, how’d you guys do on your midterms? I’d say I did better than I expected. I thought I’d score something around the 80s range. My lowest grade was an 93 in Chem, and our teacher bumped our grades by 5 points so it’s a 98 I also thought I failed my Algebra 2 Exam because I wasn’t paying attention to the directions and did more than the expected problems, thus having no time to check my work. Ended up with a 97, heh :D. I’m just bitter about my English grade… a 94.

My lowest was a 91 for Bio. Highest was a 110 for debate.
Everything else was basically a 96/97/95 (except I didn’t take the English midterm)

I opted out of my midterms/finals/whatever because I was already content with my grades.

My lowest was an 87 in English. Not too happy, but some people did fail. Actually my lowest would be pre-calc (80) but the teacher curved it five points for being an unweighted advanced class and I had six extra credit points to get an ok 91. Highest was a 99 in biology.

Out of curiosit, are any of you in science Olympiad

I know this is a little late, but what’d you guys get on your PSAT?
I got a 202…I probably could have done better but I messed up on CR haha.

Freshmen don’t usually take the PSAT, do they?

I didn’t, but my friend got a 210. Not gonna lie, I was a little jealous even though I haven’t taken it yet. It didn’t help that she rubbed it into my face.

I think I’m doing science Olympiad. I’ve been studying and building for my events, but I don’t even know if we’ll go to regionalssince no one else has prepared. I’m hoping to be in charge of the club next year.

Well I hope y’all do end up going.
wait, by “go to regionals” do you mean qualify for States or do you mean just show up at regionals?

^I’d be satisfied if we simply showed up as a team, and if i was on the roster. Considering I’m probably the only one studying, we have no chance at making it to states. What events are you doing?

@TheAtlantic: No, but I wish I were. A few of my friends are in it, and it seems like something I would like.

@quirkymath: I got a 240. But really, 202 is really good, especially for a freshman. You will probably qualify for NMSQT by the time junior year rolls around. =)

@halcyonheather: I think it depends. At my school, everyone (except seniors, of course) has to take the PSAT every year.

Oh, and TheAtlantic – congratulations! You got (arguably) the most important post number in this thread! =)

I’m actually competing with the middle school team (cause of the 9th grade loophole)
But our HS is starting up a team.

I’m in Forestry, Crime Busters, & Shock Value this year.
