High school class of 2016

@MathGuy

You just broke the page set-up on my iPod lol

I WANT TO DO SCI OLY!!! But I don’t think my high school will let me.
rofl. that happens SO MUCH on my ipod… but sorry about that!

I’m on my iPod too!! And science is hardiest subject too. I don’t know why I said STEM - by that I meant math. Maybe I just like using acronyms.

Mathguy: What state are you in? Cause Scioly has different “Vibes” (lol) in different states.

MATHGuY i LOVE YOu!!!

you win a gold star you are just awesome

anD i hate social studies
dear lord
it is just so boring!!! like ok they had wars and stuff awesome
k
done
and memorizing dates UGH
like WHO CARES
I DO NOT CARE

I much prefer Science and Math and LA!
Science is so interesting because THERE IS SO MUCH WE DON"T KNOW
WE DON"T KNOW WHAT HAPPEnS IN THE OCEAN
THERE COULD BE A WHOLE CIVILIZATION OF ALIENS DOWN THERE AND WE COULD HAVE NO CLUE

Math is awesome because HOLY TRUCK IT"S BEAUTIFUL
MATH IS BEAUTIFUL THERE I SAID IT

LA is super cool too because it just is**

Bassoonapus: I LOVE YOU TOO!!!
Yay, I like gold. And stars.
But you’re awesomer. Definitely.

OH LAWDY I do not like social studies either
lol I feel the same way you do.
I used to be able to recall everything in my history textbook, due to my teacher’s unpleasant tests. The day after school ended I forgot everything I studied haha.

MATH + SCIENCE + ENGRISH = Everything

Lol, Imma be a biologist or someting

Math <3

English: IS AWESOME. Without the standardized tests on reading. Hehehehe.

I don’t know much about FL scioly, but they do send two teams to Nationals which is a plus though. & most of my info is based on Division B anyway

@TheAtlantic: LOL I’m in Florida. Northern Florida. Sci.Olympiad is not that “popular” where I live. If it was, I would have felt the vibe, our city is too small to not feel vibes. I feel all vibes. I feel all types of vibrations. And vibrations feel amazing.
^Um. this kind of sounds wrong… (AWKWARD)

What state are you from?

I love science so much. There’s a ton of stuff to learn, and like Basssooooonnnnaaaappuus said, it’s interesting cause we get to learn so much new stuff

Who else keeps seeing these quibids advertisements
and is really tempted to bid

I’m from Georgia (so we get the “Middle School” Vibe cause we have some big name schools there) but not so much with High School. But our State results aren’t as fun cause 1 team always go, and the 2nd team has only 2-4 spots up for grabs. But regionals is extremely fun . And my team went to state this year so I enjoyed it.

^lol, I also do :D

History is awesome! It’s like this giant story that never ends. But one of my favorite parts of social studies is learning about government, politics, and economics. Because these are huge things that influence history too. Just knowing the reason behind why things happen is so cool to me. I used to be kinda meh about social studies but my teacher last year was just so knowledgeable and he’s the reason why I love it.

I hate science because it’s so boring!! I do not care about why something floats. The only thing I like about science is learning about genetics. Love it. Maybe as much as social studies. :D

Math is okay. It’s easy 'cause it’s logical.

Language arts sucks. It’s so subjective!!

yeah, language arts is pretty subjective - you’re good at it or you’re not.

and hOW DARE YOU INSULT SCIENCE!!!

I’ve got nerves of steel. So I do dare.

And I am good at language arts!! lol. I just hate classic literature and poetry. I’m a good writer. That’s about it.

I’M WITH BASSSOOOOOONNNAAPPPPPUUUSSS ON THIS ONE >.< Science is so awesome! But yeah, I also like genetic.

Everything I like, I am extremely horrible at.

lol i never said you were bad i just meant that LA is something a person is either intrinsically good at or intrinsically bad at - for instance, in sixth grade, we did a poetry unit, and my teacher was amazed at my talent, saying I should enter these contests on shadowpoetry.com, which we were using to learn about different types of poetry. The contests were discontinued though due to lack of interest.
but then on these quiz things where we had to read a passage and answer questions on it, I found myself receiving C’s and D’s.

Although all around I seem to be good at language arts (i really don’t mean to brag but I mean I am) some people JUST AREN"T. and that’s ok. Albert Einstein once said “Everyone is a genius. But if you ask a fish to climb a tree, you’ll think it’s stupid.” (or something like that lol im too lazy to google it exactly)

Sure, to some extent language arts can be learned, but you can’t teach style or voice. You can’t teach somebody to write something people want to read - but you can teach people to write like a robot.

So what am I saying? I don’t know. lol I feel like when I write things I go off on philosophical rants that, while may be interesting, is probably not fun to read. My train of thought’s tracks are twisted like a knot; in short when I have to write I feel my thoughts are constrained

^haha, then I’m intrnsically bad at LA :P

It’s not bragging! Besides, I also think that you are great at LA! Your posts are descriptive and funny!

English is a great way to show your personality.

I like the similes you used at the end ;D

Lol yeah I feel you. I was joking around.

Math guy you make me so happy let’s get married
