Hahahahaha. What classes are you taking next year? Are you trying out for any sports? I’m probably joining track!!!

I don’t think my school accepts self-study courses as actual credit. I hate that.

No, I’m not gonna do any sports because I hate the sun. Where I live it’s warm and sunny year-round so all sports take place outside.

I might not actually do ap physics, lol. I’ll probably have to see if I can actually take it instead of physical science, as per a rumor.

Hmmm, well I’ll be doing cheerleading and track
but I agree with @Swinter… I hate sports, the only reason I’m doing track is because it’ll get me out of gym senior year

I hate sports to, and matching band probably won’t get me out of gym :(

@FoodLover001
I’m either taking an online course or going to a local college
haven’t decided yet…

@Basoonapus thats too bad… it should, I’m also upset cause cheerleading won’t get me out of gym and its the only sport I enjoy
p.s. thanks for starting this thread :D

What? Why? ^^

And youre welcome^

Lol I meant your post higher up about community college

Oh my ms counselor says I could take the course at a random college nearby for some reason but I’m probably gonna end up taking the online APHG course

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to drive to some college every day

Exactly
So how are you taking Alg2 next year?

Some schools have Pre-Algebra in 6th grade, Algebra in 7th grade and Geometry in 8th grade.

sigh I wish my school had that…
I guess I’ll just have to self study a course, cause I really want to start Calc as soon as possible; it looks super interesting

Excuse my noob-ness, but what’s the point of self studying AP human geography? Is it to amp up your schedule or something? Do colleges even give you credit for it?

Yes, yes, and I believe so.

In my current school, the teachers select about a quarter of the grade to skip Pre-Algebra and start Algebra 1 in 7th. The rest of my class takes Algebra 1 a year after us.

However my new school doesn’t offer Algebra 2 as a course, but instead creates a combined Algebra 1 and 2 class for every Freshman (unless you test out of it and into Geometry or higher). So next year I have to retake Algebra 1 (and take Algebra 2). I hope they let me skip Geometry in 10th though.

That sucks.

At my school out of ~450 eight graders, only 19 are taking geometry. Basically the only way to get on this math track is if you were deemed gifted in elementary school.
