Nobody cares at my school except a handful of people.

Unless you’re an immature freshman acting like an eighth grader (a few in my class), nobody really cares. Of course, there will be people budging in front of you in the lunch line every now and then saying “SENIORITY!”, but really that’s just proving they’re just as immature as the immature freshmen themselves.
I really don’t care about it. Most of the upperclassmen in my classes thought I was a sophomore until I had to go take the PLAN test.

same at my school. At gym this one time, a sophomore was sitting in my spot in line and wouldn’t move and we had a little argument, but I made him move, and while he left he said, “Frekn freshman’s are so ignorant!” And i was like…sure dude.

Nobody at my school cares either. It really is pretty cool. My first week of high school, I already made friends with a senior, junior, and sophomore. I’m a loser too :)

At my school freshman get teased a little, but it’s (usually) all in good fun.

Oh, that reminds me… Today me and my friends were at lunch when this upperclassman throws a carrot at us, so I decide to throw it back at him, but it hits his friend, who gets really mad. Now after he curses me out and goes back to his table the guy who threw the carrot in the first place just randomly sits at our table. He doesn’t say anything, except asking the boy next to him, “Wanna see pics of me?” Moral of the story? Only throw things at people if you have good aim.

So in other news… it’s a beautiful 73° outside right now! Warmthhh. It warms my soul.

My school really don’t care about freshy’s. They actually are really cool with us most of us. And are really helpful. But maybe it’s just the AP kids that get it better since AP kids are in one side of the building most of the time (Me) Are any of you guys doing summer programs?

I’ve been browsing the summer programs part of the forum but I haven’t found much stuff available to rising sophomores yet affordable. So I’ll probably stay local and do something at the university nearish my house.

Swinter, what university is near your house?

ASU. I live in the Phoenix metro.

I haven’t found any affordable summer programs either. my classmates say that theire parents are willing to send them off to Yale for $5000 yet they’re too lazy to go.

Your friends are lucky I’ve seen a lot but they all want you to be a sophomore, junior and a senior. Too bad we are freshy’s but I got an invite to p2p I’m considering it but I don’t know.

I would love yo start searching up scholarships and contests especially over the summer. I think I’m going to train more since my sport could really help me out when I’m a senior

Is there anything you guys are going to do next year? I.e. Grades, EC

Hopefully make it to the state golf tournament. Next year will be the only year where we actually have a decent shot.

next year i want to take the SATs to get it over with
and hopefully get involved with bio and chem olympiads more competitively

I’m volunteering at Emory hospital in my area. Recommendation letters in the making.

I’m hopefully going to get an internship at the DC court, or at least some sort of volunteer position there that could maybe turn into an internship. I live in a place with a ton of internship opportunities, but really, it’s hard to find anyone that wants a freshman with basically no technical experience.

I’ll take the PSAT next year. And maybe find some internships or more interesting volunteer opportunities once I turn 16.

Ok, so yesterday, a junior decided to pull a prank at my school. This year, they installed a system that allows any teacher to speak over the intercom via their phones. I guess this kid found an empty room or two and took the opportunity to mess around. So, in the middle of the day on a tuesday, he broadcasted to the entire school 3 messeges, 15 minutes apart…“smear the queer games will be going on in the main cafeteria”,“Medical Marijuana forms are available in the counselors offices”, and “We’d like to remind you that (insert my school name here) is a joint free school”.

We found out today (rumor is atleast) he got expelled. Do you think that is an over the top punishment? Do you think his parents could sue the school? What would you even do if something like that happened, I don’t know how someone would react to that happening to them in less than 36 hours.
