Ap Art History (probably), Ap Calc AB, Ap Lang & Comp, Ap World History
I really don’t get how @dragonfruit18 is taking Ap Physics this year, much less Ap Physics C! That’s impressive.
I’ll be taking AP Literature, AP Physics, Duel-Credit Programming, and Duel-Credit Pre-Calc
Duel-Credit is the rigor as AP
@JackLuzzy dual credit Pre-Calc? I didn’t know that existed.
@gotmar I believe it’s my school’s second year of having it. Unfortunatlely it’s the only class where I don’t believe I’ll have anyone I know in it. Most of my class decided just to go honors, while a select few went to AP Calc. I would have taken calculus, but I was afraid it would be too big of a jump from trig. There was also the fact that I didn’t want to overload my schedule. Nonetheless, Duel-Credit Pre-Calc should be pretty interesting. I’m not quite sure what to expect out of it.
Dual Credit is just taking college classes right? If so Dual credit Pre-Calc does exist.
people need to stop getting smart, a few years ago calc in 10th grade was much rarer
Me- I’m taking Trig (a junior level class) as a sophmore
Them- I’m taking Calculus BC as a sophomores
Me- I’m in French II
Them- I’m in AP French
Me- I’m in Gen Chem ( a junior level class)
Them- I’m in AP Bio, AP Chem, and AP Physics
Me- This is some bull, I can’t do this is my district
Them- Get On My Level
AP European History
lol @wcao9311 you’re one to talk–you took calc bc as a freshman
@athenanv13 I don’t think you’ll know the answer to this, but just wanted to put it out there. Do you think the same strategies go for AP Euro and any other hard-ish history course? (P.S. I’m in IB, I’ll need all the help I can get. )
@snowfairy137 Wow. it sounds like you’re going to be busy. And no offense, but dont’t you think its odd how your school doesn’t make calc AB a prerequisite? I mean I understand if you’re going to take calc bc, you need to know calc ab. So doesn’t it make sense to take it while its there? I’m sorry if I’m coming off as rude, I just can’t wrap my head around the idea.
@Pandu16 Calc AB is not a prerequisite at my school either, but I think it’s only if you were in Honors Math classes prior to Calculus. I believe the Honors Pre-Calculus class might cover topics of Calc AB, and most people who choose to take Calc AB after Honors Pre-Calc say that it’s too easy for them, which is why many choose to take it-- they don’t want the challenge of Calc BC if it’s too much with their other classes. I do know that a significant number of people take Calc BC right after Honors Pre-Calc, and they’re fine.
School only allows AP Gov
@Pandu16 AP calc BC teaches both AB and BC and honors pre-calc teaches the basics of AB.
@TrainerGary Yes, Duel-Credit is the same thing as a college course. In fact, it literally is one. In many ways, I view it harder than actually AP classes due to the fact that we’re on a tight schedule. You’re expected to follow college rubrics and lesson plans. Last year, I took Duel-Credit Web Design and it was a lot of work! The good thing about Duel-Credit is that it’s weighted the same as an AP class
AP European History + AP Chemistry + AP Statistics + AP U.S History
@dragonfruit18
what are you talking about. I’m so bad at math i’m taking stats in 11th grade.
AP Gov + 3 IBs
My school does not offer AP classes! I will be self-studying and will probably take 1/4 or 2/4 of the following tests.
AP Bio
AP Comps Science
APUSH
AP English
Duel is not the same as dual…
World, European History, Lang, and Psychology
