High School Class of 2018

I thought you had to get invited or make an appointment or something…

You do… You get a tour during spring break.

If you got a 5 on the Calc AB exam, could you skip calc AB?

You can skip calc AB even if you don’t take the AP exam.

For example at my school, you have to be in Accelerated Pre-Calc honors AND get 90+ to skip Calc AB. If you get an 85+ in Accelerated Pre-Calc honors or 90+ in regular precalc honors, then you get to take Calc AB.

I wanna ask stuff.
Does every school let you test out of classes or does it depend? Do they let you double up?

what ecs do ppl have?

are you actually in eighth grade?

who are you asking?

Get off cc in the eight grade

@sciencekid99

I don’t know about every school, but you’ll be notified of testing-out applications around the beginning of your freshman year if so. As for doubling up, it depends. At my school, you can double up on Biology and Chemistry. Some schools have the former as a prerequisite for the latter. Same thing goes for Geometry + Algebra 2, etc, etc… You could probably find all the stuff out by googling - " -your school name- course/curriculum guide"

Is anyone aside from me actually an 8th grader?

No

Get off cc

q1 has ended, any 8th graders?

They’ll come by around April or so…

Prolly may

The best your school offers, like someone else said. Colleges look at your schedule in the context of where you went to school, so don’t come on here asking how good your schedule is if you’re not going to supply any context. Self-studying is overrated unless you plan to get college credit (and I self-studied four). You’re better off working on your ECs.

I spent most of my eighth-grade year writing really bad poetry and getting detentions for falling asleep in school.

Nah, any old loser can visit. You can schedule your visit online the same as with a non-prestigious school.

Depends on your school…go ask your GC.

Many schools don’t do this…I’ve never heard of it.
Testing out is an option at many schools, but a lot of times they don’t advertise it because it’s not really a common thing for people to do. Sometimes it will show up in the fine print in the student handbook, but otherwise you should just go ask your GC if you can get credit for a class by taking the final without taking the class.

This depends on the school, but I imagine most do as long as you’ve met all the prerequisites for a course. Even if you haven’t, they might make an exception for you if you ask nicely (I’ve done this). Block scheduling makes this easier because you can use the first semester to meet prerequisites.

I’m in 8th grade!!! :D

AHHHHHHHHHHHH g4u!!!1!!!11!!!1!!1!1!11!

u want a cookie or something?

cookie bump.

Oh man this is ridiculously early! Go have fun with your lives
