Yale lol… that 7.35% acceptance rate is a bit of a downer though.
More importantly, why is your dream college your dream college? I like Yale because of its Latin table (Harvard is the only other college that I know has one) and its music scene.
Harvard’s too hard, it would be nice to get in though.
Stanford is hard. But it’s my dream college.
Same I’ve been wanting to go to Stanford since the 5th grade.

Ever heard of working, student loans, and financial aid?
That’s not nearly enough to pay for college. Even working for the rest of high school and college I’d still be a lot of debt. Student loans are a nightmare and I don’t qualify for good financial aid
If you go to a state school, you should qualify for good financial aid (plus low tuition), unless your family is rich but refusing to contribute for whatever reason. There’s also merit aid. If “student loans being a nightmare” is enough to sacrifice an education, then okay. You may have to go to a community college or a branch campus of your state’s flagship or whatever, and then transfer to a 4-year state school, but it’s possible, even if you are incurred with debt. The point is for you to pay it off, which you will if you make the most of your opportunities.

@praeda I’m way over my head when I say that I want to go to Stanford or an Ivy because I know we can’t afford it. I am hoping for the Bill Gates scholarship and many more to help me. If all else fails, I could go to a community college for 2 years for free. If I get good grades I will most likely get a full ride into a state school.
I’m just jumping in out of nowhere, but these schools give really good need-based financial aid. For some people, they’re cheaper than state schools. I would recommend running the net price calculators for whatever colleges you’re interested in.
