Got my AP Scores today. The only AP we could take as freshmen was AP GoPo, just checked and I got a 5!
I’m waiting until tomorrow to find out my score with all of my friends. I took APHG and think I did really well, but I’m still nervous.
Ain’t nobody got time to read through 55 pages.
But I suppose everybody is posting their scores so…

Sorry to get off topic from the AP test scores but I was just wondering if it is important to play a sport. I really want to play a sport but the fact is that it would conflict with other activities that I want to do. The problem with me for high school is there are so many classes and things I want to do but not enough space for them. The new school I am transferring to has a robotics class that I want to sign up for but it would conflict with volleyball and possibly track.

@Cookiesandcreme It’s important to play a sport if it is important to you. I’m going to start doing gymnastics because I love it and I know I won’t be able to when I am out of school.(After college) Hope this helps!
Hey guys! What kind of school supplies do you like to use? I’m kinda obbsesed with school supply shopping so I thought it would be nice to know what other people liked
I never exactly know what to buy, but I have my preferences. I like Ticonderoga pencils and Papermate mechanicals. I also HAVE to have those tiny little planners that fit anywhere. My (composition) notebooks aren’t a particular brand, but I like the ones with folders. For looseleaf paper, I typically buy the ones with plastic over the margin. I absolutely HATE it when my notes rip. I wait on getting binders b/c teachers have their own specific requirements. The best thing that works for me is to color code everything. It makes it easier when you are looking for things. I use color coding with my folders, notebooks, pens, highlighters, and planner entries. Recently I bought a TI CE, for 80 bucks off eBay. It was a steal! I honestly get really excited for back to school b/c Staples starts having some really good deals and I love being cheap!
I LOVE BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING!!! :x Favorite binder is the Staples Better Binder; it lasts forever and the rings are attached to the back cover rather than the side. I always use mechanical pencils (HATE having to sharpen a pencil!). Right now I’m using up&up brand so not too particular. I just got a pack of G2 Pilot Gel pens-10 colors of coarse for color coating everything. They write smoothly and last for a long time. I prefer using spiral bound notebooks for notes rather than loose leaf because I think it’s neater. White-out is my best friend (I’m not the best speller, so pens…) I also DIY-ed pencil pouches, dividers, binder/notebook covers, and washi taped pretty much everything to make things colorful. I think that color makes school more interesting. I also love planners! Just got one from target! I wish teachers would give me the supplies list BEFORE break so I could get around the Crazy School Mom’s that hoard school supplies in Walmart during the first week of school. Sorry for the long post!
I’m reviving this thread! School has been in session for a week now for me and I missed it. This year I plan to not only do marching band, but I’m also going to be class Vice President. Along with that is Academic Bowl and Debate team! Hopefully I can also start volunteering more. This is mostly just random thoughts but since my school has block schedule, I now won’t have math for more than a year (365 days). I had it freshman year first semester and now I’ll have it second semester sophomore year. My math skills will be rusty.
And also the High school class of 2017 thread has a lot more posts. Let’s keep this active and update each other on whatever we want.
Oh wait I was thinking they were High School Class of 2019. I’m really dumb xD Okay well still.
Hey! I start school Wednesday! I’m also in marching band(Colorguard to be exact). I am an officer in Pre-Med Society and Native American Club. I’m gonna join more clubs! I made a blog you guys should check it out.

I can’t wait until applications for a school I’m going to apply to come out they come out in November. The school is for Juniors and Seniors who excel in Math and Science, and you apply your sophomore year!!
How do you all stay on top of things? I’m REALLY scared of falling into the sophomore slump this year )):
I really don’t know how I stay on top of things. I’m a huge procrastinator. But I do talk to the teacher a couple times if my grade isn’t where it should be. Btw I start school in 3 days and I still haven’t did my summer reading.
Just do it @raffle
I hate mobile. It always deletes my post. I wrote more than that, it wasn’t mean xD. Anyways, I tell myself if I don’t do it I will suffer more later on. It always helps me get through everything. For my summer reading, I had to read To Kill a Mockingbird and The Memory Keeper’s Daughter. I ended up reading one of them the weekend before school started. I sometimes procrastinate but I always get it done. Random but I took the AP HuG exam and got a 4 last year. This year I am taking the AP Bio and ES Exam and am hoping to make 5’s on both. Last year I didn’t really take it that seriously which makes me regret it. Oh well. Aside from this, I’m still #1 class rank
Nice, there is a thread for us! I personally was a loner in middle school but things took a 180 for me when I joined my school’s magnet my freshman year. I had my ups and downs (namely being the only cut from the tennis team sigh) but I would kill to be in the position of the freshies this year, as it was a great deal of fun.
@HelloThereHola @aspiringgirl Really sorry about you guys’ summer reading. Our school basically abolished it this year to give us “more choice.” However they are probably going to implement it again when they find out that half of the student body probably didn’t even touch a book, save read one.
Aside from reading and a couple of random AMC10 tests, I had fun doing nothing. I don’t exactly want to back on Wednesday, though.
Edit: Just wanted to add, @HelloThereHola Nice job on the Val ranking. Our school ranks using our grades from the year before (really dumb IMHO) and I got ranked 1 spot out of the top 10 (11!) because I took Spanish 1, a non-Honors weighted class my 8th grade year. That should change after this year though as I managed to get 5 100s last year, a 97 being my lowest grade overall.
Oh nice! @ish512
how are you guys going to study for the psat? and when are you guys taking it? I’m freaking out because I took a few class sessions for it over summer and I have to say that seeing my score, I really need to work on it before junior year
