@CookiesandCreme Colleges won’t fault you for it. The vast majority of those that get admitted take it past ninth grade, if at all. I’m taking it next year and not worried at all about the pacing of it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with not taking AP Calc as a freshman. I’ve only heard of this on CC. Being above average with Algebra 2 or Geometry (forgot the order) is great itself.

It’s weird whenever I see or use “CC” on here the first thing that comes to mind is community college.

@letmeseetheworld It typically goes Algebra -> Geometry -> Algebra 2 -> Precalc -> Calc AB or BC -> AP Stat (at least in my school district).

@letmeseetheworld lol me too but I’ve learned

@observeraffect Thanks!

Also, welcome to high school.

The advice/comments that no one else will say [as I don’t want to be repetitive and boring]:

Your greatest rival is yourself.

Michael Jordan missed over 9000 shots in his career. It’s how he was able to get over it that he became great

Hey guys what math is everyone taking next school year?

Girls get alot prettier in hs. I’m taking Calc Bc. Aped out of Ab this year.

My face never got that memo. :-<
Also, this is what “alot” means.

@halcyonheather no makeup?

I’m taking algebra 2 next year but maybe I can test out and take pre calc.

It’s all downhill from here

What were your ninth grade schedules? Are there any other 18ers here

@cookiesandcreme I’m very happy being homeschooled. I have online classes, and have classes outside of my house on Tues and Thurs. I’m really into theater, so being homeschooled gives me the extra time for acting. I’m pushed to do all honors classes, and to take CLEP tests, so I’m not suffering academically. As for socially, my mom thinks I could use a little less socialization.

@Cookiesandcreme - 16er here, but my Freshmen Schedule was AP Human Geography (or AP HUG as many call it here), AP Environmental Science (Or APES as it can be abbreviated to), Honors English, Honors Algebra 2, Regular Intro to Business Tech, and Journalism 1. I wouldn’t be worried if I was you about where you are in Math. It’s a fine place to be.

@observeraffect my schedule is

Honors English 9
Spanish 1
Algebra 2
Physics
P. E or a sport
Principles of biomedical sciences

Does it sound rigorous?

How many of those are Honors? And are you able to take any APs?

I can’t believe that the majority of the class of 2018 will be students not born in the 90’s.

@RHSclassof16 - Yup. It’s definitely a weird thought. It’s even weirder to think that most students graduating from here on out won’t have much (if any) memories of 9/11.
