@tonyk16 Most of the first semester of Algebra 2 is review. I wish that was the case in Pre-Calc.
I just took my Chemistry test, I’m really not sure whether or not I passed, it seemed either way. As long as I get a B or higher I’ll be fine. I’ve had a B in Chemistry for two weeks now. I also took a Biology EOC test today which I didn’t know I had to take until half an hour before the test. I think I did well. I also got a B (85%) on my History test. So I all have to do is finish 1984 by tomorrow, I have 63 pages left and take that test and a math test and then I’m done.
I think I’m failing school…I take AP Bio AP Chem and AP World and I have a 4.45 GPA Someone pls help
@savagestudent7 typical cc member xD
Lol @Phantomlink So true!
@savagestudent7 I really hope you’re not serious lol :))
@ak2018 He is aiming for that 5.0 GPA. My school is pretty retarded and our highest GPA can only be a 4.4…our AP classes are only weighted 10%.
Did you have anytime to review before that Biology test? You took Due tomorrow, Do tomorrow to the whole next level.
@tonyk16 Actually, I wasn’t given any time to study before the test. They didn’t even tell me what test I was taking until I got to the testing room. I was just told to go at 8am.
Also, @savagestudent7 I would kill for a GPA like that! That’s an above average GPA for my first choice college, and I need a 4.13 at least.
Hey guys. I was wondering if any of you were applying for summer programs. What are you guys doing over the summer. I have two Chem tests to take and then 4 Spanish tests. I want to cry!
@savagestudent7 stop trying to look for people to say you have an amazing GPA to make yourself feel better, you don’t. Colleges look at unweighted GPA and that is probably below a 3.8
all you guys complaining your schools max GPA is only so and so that wont matter because the colleges will look at u nweighted GPA so don worry
I try to just look unweighted and focus on getting all or majority A’s. Colleges know that high schools have their own grading policy and have their own GPA calculators.
I just took my precal final today! It was meh. Not easy, but not the hardest I’ve had.
Tomorrow is Chem final. Anyone else binge watching Kahn Academy videos?
@BucketsUCSC You’re right, but my first choice college does look at both, especially for their top major, Mechanical Engineering, which is what I want to major in.
@Cookiesandcreme I’m just planning on getting a job to pay the online classes I plan to take junior year. Either at the grocery store or a library. Good luck on your tests! I have an English test on 1984 and an Algebra II test on Quadratics tomorrow. Then I’m done with testing for the week #:-S !
@BucketsUCSC It just seems weird they would do that when all the other schools in the area have their max at 5.0.
@Cookiesandcreme I have not really planned that far ahead, but I don’t think I could get into any good summer programs because I haven’t even taken the PSAT. Are you taking Chem and Spanish over the summer? Sounds fun (not really). Good Luck though!
@ak2018 I have the Alg II test on Friday, then Bio and World Studies on Tuesday. Good Luck! I know I’m going to need it on that Bio test.
@tonyk16 What are you guys learning about in Algebra II? Also my last day before break is this Friday.
Essentially, linear programming and some non-linear stuff; quadratics, absolute value, cubic, etc. My teacher is not the best though, and I hear a lot of stuff about how people in Pre-Calc this year are struggling because she doesn’t really teach us stuff to prepare for it. That is great news now isn’t it?
@Cookiesandcreme I go to music camps during the summer. I might get an internship this year or next year.
@Cookiesandcreme I’m think about doing the Oncology and Pathogenesis camp at Clemson University. I also want to try and volunteer some at the hospital and shadow my dad (doctor) and mom (pharmacist). Now I don’t know if that’s all going to actually happen, but I’m going to at least try.
Just found this thread…Interesting conversations I have to say…I love finding people who actually want/try to succeed in school.
