@AMan236 It happens to all of us.
@ak2018 That’s the truth!
@frazzledazzle Maybe I will go next year. How is the music there? Congrats on that biology test! And Good Luck on tomorrow!
Okay time to enjoy my vacation. First thing on my list, Netflix. Yeeaahh! Imma go get some snacks…
Any else feel kind of sick? I’ve been sick since Sunday!
@ak2018 Hope you feel better.
I don’t really want anything for to be honest.
Are you guys going to your winter formal? I’ve never gone to it before so I don’t know when to start planning… I know a few people told me to start planning now although it’s in February.
Thank you @Tedalkfan ! I knew going to that holiday party my parents forced me to go to was a bad idea. My aunts and uncles, even my parents, literally judged me the whole time about my eating habits, just because I only like one food and don’t even eat that much. I went off into a corridor and played some games on my phone for 4 hours. I probably got sick because my parents said not to get a coat as it was 70°F when we left the house and it was 40°F when we got back. And honestly, the only thing I want for Christmas is money. I think my parents are giving me $300 and some gift cards, probably because they feel bad about the party and me getting sick. I already have $100 from when my parents said I could go Black Friday shopping and I didn’t, probably because I feel that 1. It can get kind of crazy and 2. It takes away from the meaning of Thanksgiving, so I saved it. With all of this money I’m getting, I should open a bank account. I might decide to give half of my money to either a cancer research charity like I did 2 years ago or to “The Wounded Warrior Project”. Really depends on what I feel like doing. Seriously, my parents spend more money on me during this time of the year than my birthday and I’m very grateful.
Also @raffie We don’t have a winter formal at my school. We only have a homecoming and a prom, juniors and seniors only, obviously. We tried having a Sadie Hawkins dance, where girls ask guys, a month after homecoming, but that failed miserably. But yeah, if you plan on going, especially if you plan on going with someone, prepare NOW! Pick out the tuxedo/dress, find someone to go with, and a bunch of other things you’ll need to know. I didn’t go to homecoming this year, as I didn’t have a ride, but I wish I did. I probably wouldn’t have gotten a date anyway. It was either because I’m really new to this school and no one really knows me or I’m really unattractive, probably the latter. Lol
@raffie We don’t have a winter formal, but I though our homecoming was going to be moved to around this time. It was supposed to be in the fall, but no one was going. They decided to move it, but they may have just cancel it althogether. I really don’t care though. I wasn’t going to go anyways because well no one goes.
@ak2018 oh thank you for the advice!! I’m also new to my school and I don’t really know anybody, but I’m going to my old school’s formal lol since all my friends are over there. That’s interesting though… at my district we have Sadies, Homecoming, Formal, and Prom-- only Formal and Prom are actually formal but only Prom is restricted to just the upperclassmen.
@Madeline25 I feel ya. I never went to any of the dances before but we’re having it at this amusement park so it should be fun (I’d say which park but I just googled it and there is only one location for it and I’m scared some serial killer is on this website lol)
@Madeline25 What kind of school do you go to? Lol. Almost everyone goes to homecoming at my school.
@raffie You’re welcome. Their won’t be anymore dances I can go to this year, except prom which I know I won’t go to since of the upperclassmen restriction.
And lol. A serial killer. In the 10th grade. That should be a movie. I Was a 10th Grade Serial Killer! =))
How would we even know what you look like?
@ak2018 Knowing myself I’d probably accidentally be like “oh by the way my name is Poop and I live on 5th Street here is my social security number”
@raffie Yeah I went to our big party in middle school and had a blast. Our school(s) just aren’t big into school dances. That and the prom (which is only for upperclassmen) are really the only ones anyone actually goes to lol. There are some wild (if you know what I mean…) parties outside of school that lots of the grades or grades go to. However I try to stay away from those… Our school plays and sports games are pretty popular.
And revealing a ton of personal info is definaley something I would do too hahaha. Thank goodness I didn’t run into any bad people when I was younger because I did some pretty stupid stuff.
@ak2018 Well this is only our second year of doing a homecoming dance. Before it was just at the football game, which is pretty popular.
Lol @raffie I laughed way too hard at your comment.
@Madeline25 Giving away a lot of personal information is something I would do a lot when I was little too. I remember in the 5th grade, I would give my phone number and email address to everyone at recess.
@ak2018 See I don’t think that’s too bad. My policy with it is generally if I’ve met you in person somewhere and you’re not a creepy older person or acting super suscipious, I’m ok with it. I think the chances of someone around your age that you met at a restaurant or sports game misusing your info is pretty slim. I’m more concerned about people on the Internet pretending to be someone they aren’t. Then again I do live in a comparatively small southern town where we leave our cars and houses unlocked (at least in my area) and make conversation with total strangers, so people are pretty trusting around here.
I think my school had its first homecoming this year, or at least, I was aware of it this year. The only really big dance here is that and prom, which is restricted to upperclassmen. Last year, Link Crew, a group of juniors and seniors that create activities and introduce the school to incoming freshmen, tried to arrange a winter and spring dance for underclassmen, but both were cancelled due to not enough people buying tickets.
Now I’m free until January 4th! Shout-out to my English and bio teacher for assigning homework over break. >:U
People at my school go to the football games, but not many people go to Homecoming. There is a homecoming dance put on by Student Council (this year it is a winter formal since there was a scheduling conflict), a QCC sorority dance that anyone can go to, a SubDeb sorority dance that anyone can go to (it’s a girls-ask-guys dance), a CCC fraternity dance, and Prom (seniors and their dates only).
@tonyk16 The music is great! Especially at the Railroad and Penobscot stages!
@Madeline25 Where as I live in a city with a low to moderate crime rate.But I see your point.
@LeopardFire I just remembered that I actually have homework to do over break, oh well. There’s always next week.
@LeopardFire I have a pre-calc take home final (of IB HL problems…), APWH essay stuff and a chapter to read, English vocab, and a chemistry packet I need to at least start. I’m ok with it though because I’m the time of person that doesn’t do very well with lots of free time. Already started my math today because I have been bored out of my mind since it’s raining and I can’t go out to the barn. sigh Its only the second day of break. I was going to try to volunteer, but those plans kind of fell through.
