Hello, I am interested in majoring in computer science, and in high school, I wanted to start a club related to that. Currently, we already have a STEM Club and a Comp Prog Club. Are there any ideas for clubs I can start?
Why not join the STEM or Comp Prog Club and help those groups be strong?
I am a part of the stem club currently, but I also wanted to experience what it’s like to start my own club
- cs club
- robotics team
- sci oly
- math team
- robotics
- satellite
- femistem (geared more towards female engineeers)
- computer NETWORKING
I started a club this year and if you want me to be realistic, you should not start a club because “you want the experience.” If you are going to start a club, you need to search within and find what you are passionate about. Just because computer science is your intended major does not mean you should just immediately start a club. If you have no idea what you want your club to be and you are relying on other people to tell you what do, you’re not ready. I would actually agree with @snarlatron more. Join a club and then gain leadership and hopefully you can find something new and start a club out of that. Again, other people should not be building the club for you. Tips are great, but lack of passion/creativity right off the bat is not. Hope this helps give a bit of context. In no way am I dissing you.
If you dont know what you want to start a club in, dont start a club.
