Make your own organization. Literally. I’m sure there’s clubs for everything already but think back on your experiences and find something that could be fixed. Come up with a catchy name and a well-written proposal and present it your principal. Don’t follow someone else’s path, create your own.

You’re sort of going into it the wrong way, but here are some suggestions:

Service club

Students Against Destructive Decisions

Gay/Straight Alliance

Secular Student Alliance if you’re nonreligious

My school has an anti-bullying club. I don’t know whose idea it was, and I don’t think it actually does any good but still.

Any subject…foreign language, computer science, philosophy, etc.

Art club

International Club (unique to my school)

It depends what interests you

I think when most students start a successful club, they do it because they had an issue that was important to them that they wanted addressed. Starting a club for the sake of starting a club is a good way to get nowhere in a hurry.

Why not find something important to you and excel in it? If you like science, join Science Olympiad. Maybe you’ll motivate the team to become better, start tutoring new members, improve the program, etc.

You have to start with something you care about. If you’re passionate about it and a hard worker, you will find something meaningful to do that will probably end up looking impressive. Nobody becomes a millionaire solely because they wanted to be a millionaire, they started with an idea/product that aligned with their skills and that they found engaging to work on.
