High School Course Advice

im looking to get into the field of engineering, right now im in favor of electrical engineering, but i know i wont finalize my decision until the college years. I am currently a freshman in high school and was hoping for some course suggestions. here is my schedule:

1st semester i had: algebra 2, algebra based physics, spanish 3, and my physical education required class
gpa as of today: 4.0 for the 1st (above) semester

current semester: english 9 honors, technology ed, woodworking (for creative/art credit), and government 9 honors

planned courses for 10th grade (not yet finalized): pre-cal, statistics, AP world history (full year class), spanish 4, biology, chemistry, and english 10 honors.

i know im still early in my HS career, but do you have any suggestions on classes that would help me fulfill my engineering major? i am going to take as many math classes as possible, calculus 1 (full year course) when im a junior is what i plan. Then more calculus as a senior, or dual enrollment at a community college during junior or senior years.

Ultimate goal: engineering degree of sort at a good university (dream college: MIT)

Try to take advantage of your schools AP/IB program if they have one. Specifically in:

Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Programming

Like chanfest says, take AP/IB classes if you have the opportunity. Calculus is definitely essential. Physics and chem are the important science classes, so you could take both classes or just focus on one, but any exposure to college level classes is helpful so that you know what you'll be getting into. AP/IB classes in every other subject are ones you should take too, because you could get college credit, which will make engineering easier because you have the opportunity to lighten your class load (engineering requirements are very rigid and have no space for additional electives outside of gen eds).
