Hi, I am a sophomore going into my junior year, and I just picked out my schedule and I am not sure if it is good. I want to do as many rigorous courses that I can not only challenge myself, but also show colleges. Sadly I go to a very small school where not many opportunities and not very good classes are. What I want to major in college is in the health profession, I will most likely go for Nursing, Pre- Med, or a basic health such as public health, or communication and disorders. Here is my schedule SO FAR
- Gym/ Chem Lab (Every Other Day)
- Chemistry
- Mythology and Film (Forced to take because I did all other electives offered at that period)
- French III
- Lunch/ Study Hall ( 20 min each)
- Drivers Ed first semester, and health the second semester
- English 11
- AP/ College US History
- Trig/ A2
As seen, i have to take basic classes. So my question is are my classes good enough? Should I take out my third period and do conceptual biology, even though it is just an elective, not a college class? OR should I take the 3rd period out and put a study hall or reading hall and self-study an AP class. My School offers AP classes online and I would want to do Psychology, but I would also like to do at least one more AP class for my junior year, I am willing to self-study them myself, so I ask for the best AP class I should self-study for a health-related career. I also live in NY. Once again my class only offers two otehr AP classes that i cannot take because of where they are placed.
