Hey guys I'm a sophomore in high school and I've been in some few clubs buts that's it. Does anyone know any good extra curriculars to join in that looks good on college apps and would stand out? and are there any good extra curriculars relating to business?
Thanka in advance

Ten ten ten twenties on ya…I’ll stop there.

May I suggest FBLA or you could compete in Business plan challenge in your state. I did that at my school. It was a great experience and you get to meet real CEOs and professors that give you advice.

FBLA is the only one that pops into my mind as far as business.

BUT, that said…please read further!

Nope. You don
t do activities/clubs/sports/etc. that LOOK GOOD on college apps, you do it because you LIKE that activity/club/sport/etc. What are YOUR interests? Figure that out, then go from there. Also, not all clubs look good on apps…I mean, say you want to major in business (which I
m guessing you do), you don
t go and join the Young Republicans club or whatever (NO, of course you can, if that
s something that interests you, I
m not trying to say only chooses stuff that
s relevant to what you want to major in, but PLEASE don
t go join a club just because you think it
ll look good on a college app, OK?). Maybe I didn
t word all that correctly, but you get the point. What
s good for someone who
s wanting to major in XYZ wouldn
t necessarily be good for someone wanting to major in ABC.

That said, if business is what you
re looking for, FBLA is huge. Check with your school for more specifc clubs…every school has their own clubs other schools don
t have.

Also, as far just generics things most are in, NHS.

Do what you like, not what you think will make you look good. Thats my advice.

Also, remember:

Quality > Quantity

OK, I think I`ve said everything I wanted to say.

Capice? Capice.

Hasta la vista.
