So my first semester is weird. IBasically after two weeks of the term ending, that is the final deadline for updating our transcript. We have this thing called proficiency grading and basically if you have one missing summative assignment, your grade is an automatic F. Well in Language Arts that happened, and report cards get sent out on Monday. Today is a work day for teachers. (Friday) I was wondering if i changed my grade on monday, that my original semester 1 transcript would be invisible to the colleges, or if they could see the original one. Please help, worried. Also my final grades after everything should be this-
P.E: A
L Arts: B or A
Science: A
Choir: A
Algebra: A
Theater: C or B
Seminar: P (Doesn’t count towards GPA, only an elective credit)
Also, will that C in theater count me out of colleges like Oregon State University, Oregon, Willamette University?
I would assume that if the grade is changed that only the new grade would be on the transcript that is sent 3 years from now But, that’s a school-specific question, so ask your GC.
Also, the site is called College Confidential, so don’t post personal info like the name of your HS, which I edited out.
I don’t think you need to worry about colleges seeing the original grade.
I don’t think the C will put you out of the running for UO, OSU, and Willamette. Those colleges will love to see an upward trend. If you can improve upon this semester and earn mostly As from now on, you will be in great shape for college, and could even possibly earn automatic admission to some of those schools. Ask your GC about studying tips to strengthen your GPA.
skieurope thanks a lot!! And sorry, I saw other people do that.
Studious99 I am going to be a full IB student, so I think I can get it up to a 4.0 or even above.
