High School job beneficial in Admissions Process?

Hey guys I'm a junior in high school and I'm planning to apply to BHP+PlanII.

I wanted to know if working in retail stores like Starbucks or a clothing store would give me any leverage in the application process. I'm currently a IInd Sem Junior and I was thinking of working in a retail store for the extra cash. But, it's temporary, and over the summer I plan to be a little bit more serious and intern in something related to the business sector.

So basically I just wanted to know if a high school job would help in any way in the admissions process. I know it will be counted as work experience later, but I'm only concerned about admissions for now. Would it help in the interview?

Also, does anyone have any internship ideas for the summer? I wanted to know about internships that will help me in the application process to BHP. I'm currently thinking of Accounting or Finance as the concentration, but I'm not sure at all! :D

Sure it will help, but not as much as academic or research bullet points. I know you’re really motivated about doing business internships, but there will be plenty of time for that later. Right now just worry about being a kid and having fun with your friends during your last couple years of high school.
