So, I'm currently a freshman in high school and we just finish registration. This is my plan, any thoughts?
Only notable things in freshman year is self studying AP Envi Sci, psych, and human geo.
I'm also taking Spanish III as a Dual enrollment.

Also, any suggestions on courses I should take at my community college?
Thanks for all your help.

Self-study AP Physics C, that’s crazy and it’s during your senior year…Take AP English Language over English 11 junior year. Self-study a math class so you’ll be able to take AP Calc BC senior year. Get rid of government/economics senior year. You already took gov and econ outside of school. I wouldn’t self-study AP Bio…I don’t think you’d pull through with such a heavy agenda. It’s completely whacked out of proportion.

Whoa, this is OD. Since you’re taking World History next year, I would say push AP Eng Lang to junior year and take AP World History exam your sophomore year. Try to self-study BC Calc during junior year to make self-studying Physics C during the senior year easier. Are you going to have any extra-curriculars with all these courses? This is intense and you don’t need to go to such extents in high school.

i think it is a good goal, but realisticly what will happen is you will take some off, not have time for some, decide your not prepared or some other reason to not take a few…and it is totally okay!! that is definetly what happened to me…

Why don’t you cut most of those outside classes out, switch AP World History (self studying) to Sophomore year (why not take the exam the same year you have to take the class anyways?) and just take AP Lang and Comp your junior year (or senior year if your school does lit junior year).

Trust me, with a schedule like that, you will stress yourself out, and you won’t be able to enjoy any of your youth.

Lol. I’m a freshman, and I have a more rigorous schedule than that.

BTW self-studying ap physics C is ridiculous.

Are you proud of that position? I mean I don’t see how you can be happy doing all of that. It’s like you are trying to get rid of all of your college credit while in HS.

Well said. The OP could do ECs outside school and contribute more to his college application than those classes would. (Not to mention, he would preserve what is left of his sanity).

OP: If you do it, more power to you. Good luck in whatever you choose. Try not to plan your life too much in your freshman year. When I was a freshman, I had little insight regarding my true aptitude. Try taking some diverse electives; they could point you in a direction you would never have thought about before.

While a very strong schedule, this seems a little extravagant. APs and their corresponding tests can be much more difficult than anticipated, and self-studying can consume a lot of your time. Unless you are truly inspired in each of these subjects, I would highly recommend easing up your schedule a little bit, particularly next year until you get the feel of APs. Take your time, and enjoy high school.
