look. worth it, yes. you get to be with someone special, weather afterwards you think of them that way or not, and if not its a learning experience

its kind of just nice to be in a relationship once in a while. If your not happy while being in a relationship then you should probably break up. Even if High School relationships wont last, they're still a good experience for later in life. How well do you think your gonna do when your in college and its you first real relationship?

^We'll find out when it happens.

^ A friend of mine had his first real relationship in college. As a result of socializing too much, primarily with his girlfriend, he failed his entire first semester.

If the opportunity comes along, high school relationships can be a great thing. No, most don't end in marriage, but that's okay. High school's when you start to develop real friendships, not just the middle school "besties!" Naturally, there will be someone of the opposite (or same) sex that you start to trust closely and feel attracted to. Most relationships my friends have are, while they call themselves bf/gf, just mutually exclusive hookups. But I have a few sets of friends in great, secure relationships. No, I don't see them asking me to be maid of honor any time soon, but they trust each other emotionally and appreciate each other physically, and they're not just in it for a good time. That's a relationship to me.

^ amen, i like your definition of a relationship.
