Hey! I'm a high school sophomore interested in attending Princeton University, but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track to doing so. My freshman year grade point average was a 3.818 for first semester and a 3.833 for second semester weighted. Currently I have a 4.308 grade point average for sophomore year and am in one honors class and one AP class. Next year, I plan on taking AP Environmental Science, AP English, Honors Precalculus, AP Spanish and Honors US History. Senior year I plan on taking AP Calculus AB, AP Gov, and Honors English. My school is very small, so I am taking the most advanced classes. My extracurricular activities include participating in honors orchestras in my community, being on homecoming court, being involved in auxiliaries in my school's band and getting regional orchestra awards. I go on service abroad trips every summer, and I went to China last year and will be going to Indonesia this summer to serve and I have been appointed an ambassador leader. Is my grade point average too low to go to Princeton? Also I plan to be an International Relations, Psychology, Humanities major.

Your GPA is fine, although a rising trend by senior year would be best. Keep up the rigorous curriculum. Once you have your SAT I, and two SAT II Subject Test scores, and class rank, we can give you a clearer guess. Keep working hard, you should not obsess about one college now, as your final results might match a different level school.

Top Ivies want inspired, dedicated learners, so focus on studying what you love. Should you earn top scores, then you can look at which colleges best fit your passions.
