Outside of school my activities include playing 4 instruments (piano, flute, clarinet, trumpet) and playing trumpet in a community orchestra and church. I am not old enough to have a job in my area (central NJ), but I will when I am 16.

Any thoughts and ideas for improvement are welcome.

More info if it helps...

In CYO at church
Caucasian
Have a Math teacher for 3 years that graduated from Yale and Harvard (for
recommendation letter)
Plan on applying for financial aid
Took SATs in 7th and 8th grade

Princeton doesn't consider your freshman grades, so it's hard to say. The fact that your math teacher graduated from a HYP is irrelevant; it won't add any weight to what he/she has to say in the letter of recommendation.

My advice: don't focus on your grades - though they can keep you out, they won't get you in - and focus on excelling at an extracurricular for the next two years. You absolutely need to start early.

Well that's a relief that they don't consider freshmen grades, not that I did poorly, but in my situation, I could have done better and will next year. About ECs, I plan to keep those already listed, and add NHS and some others when possible. Unfortunately my school does not have an instrumental performing group, which is my biggest strength, so I'm losing that aspect.

I also have a business if you could call it that... For less tech oriented friends and family members, I will research and sell their unwanted possessions on ebay. I also find things on ebay that are poorly advertised(particularly musical instruments), buy them and resell them for profit.
