High school sophomore schedule?

My sophomore year, I signed up to take the following core classes:

AP English Language/Composition (English is my best subject and I’m skipping Lit 10 ADV)
AP Biology (I’m not a huge science person, so this is kinda scary, because I’ve heard it’s hard)
AP World History
Accelerated Geometry B/Adv Algebra
French III ADV (also one of my best subjects)

I get two electives. Should I take Latin I, Drama: Acting I, Advanced Choral Ensemble or some combination of the two of them? I might want to pursue a degree in theater, but I want to go to an Ivy League school. Please give me advice!

Also, for extracurriculars I plan to join lots of service clubs, do community theater and maybe take dance lessons.

For English, is it normal for sophomore to take AP Lang? If you can handle it that’s fine, but what would you take in senior year?
AP Bio is taken by sophomores in my school, but its brutally difficult and since you already are taking two other AP’s it may be better to drop down into honors if you can.
Does your math class combine Geometry and Algebra? :o
For electives, just take what you want. I imagine Drama: Acting I and Advanced Choral Ensemble would be good for theater, but Latin is neat so if you’d rather take it over one of those classes you should.
And finally, I’d research colleges that are known for theater rather than just pursuing the Ivy Leagues for the sake of prestige.

Don’t take AP Bio if it’s not your strongest subject. It’s very difficult. What science clzss(es) have you taken already?
Top colleges will expect you to have one year each of bio, chemistry, and physics, plus one AP in those (plus AP calculus principles or AP chemistry a or apes for an elective if nothing else interests you or instead of AP bio/chem/phys If you’re not into stem) .
Take whichever 2 electives you prefer.
Finally, excellent schools for theater include Muhlenberg or U Cincinnati or nyu. So, not the Ivy League. I’m guessing you don’t much about college’s and just mean 'very good colleges ’ so I’d encourage you to buy or borrow the fiskes Guide and start reading with post it’s for the pages you like.

This year I’m taking Biology I ADV. Last year I took physical science for high school credit when I was in middle school. Also, part of my dilemma is I’m not sure what I want to study. It might end up being something completely different from theater, so I want to do well enough to get into schools with excellent facilities all around. That being said, I wouldn’t want to go to an Ivy League for name value alone. I want to have the best academic experience I possibly can no matter what subject I study. I’m also considering majors in philosophy or English, maybe psych.

Do your best and keep your options open.
