Hi, so I'm in high school (just completed my junior year) and I really, really love political science. I'm pretty much your classic political junkie and I've literally taken every possible opportunity to get involved in politics. I have volunteered and interned part-time for a political campaign and this summer I'm a full-time intern for the same campaign at my local office. The summer before freshman year, I did a local summer leadership program that included a mock city council component, the summer before junior year I took 2 community college courses, political science and American social problems, and I just got back from Girls State which is a weeklong summer program in my state capital where you learn about government and participate in a mock state legislature. I've also taken two semesters of speech at community college and I've taken the AP government exam (I'm homeschooled and my curriculum makes APs complicated but I studied for the test on my own).

I'm looking for more opportunities to get involved in government/politics during this school year. I'm relatively flexible, at least after the November elections, and I wouldn't mind traveling if I had that opportunity. I'd particularly like to go to Washington, DC; are there any programs that allow you to do that, maybe over spring break or something? I'm honestly open to anything politics-related, whether it's a class, job, internship, volunteering, whatever.
